Many central North Sea fields have residual oil below the contact FYI (ive worked several paleocene ones) ie, ‘trapped oil’. It’s a bit of a non event normally results from charge history, so reservoir charges up with oil displacing water, then seal blows at some point and oil leaks off leaving residual oil. Reservoir then has secondary charge but less oil so it fills up and established a new shallower OwC. If the original one was lower then between the two you get residual oil. Means below the current contact there’ll be a ‘ghost contact’ where the residual column finishes. Nobody in North Sea has ever considered it commercial because it’s not. Imagine drilling a well that came on at high watercut immediately, would be even worse than the current two. Residual oil is a completely academic red herring.shocking that they got contact wrong in first place the samples below new owc clearly showed mainly water. S classic case of selectively believing data you want to, ie seeing Oil and deciding it’s above the contact.. crazy.

i reckon its related to Hurricane if they use Metro, only just reported late in day on Kingfisher. Hur will probably be notified next week, sometimes posters on here are in contact with co if they are they should mention this. Things like this are relayed as a fishing hazard i dont know who follows up

I agree with Gggh Gggh that something funny going on. One would have expected share price to crater after THAT CPR and the repeat of the dilution risk. Instead, finished slightly up

Further, if there was any belief, or even a modicum of responsibility to PI's, production figures, cash flow, spare cash, well performance etc would have been released....alas the BOD are not to be trusted....after all, all announcements (bar one) have spun negativity....I wonder who gained from the one positively framed announcement?

Remember Kerogen re-orientated the board before they removed themselves.

Probably not as I doubt he/she is as sadly obsessed as you are . Probably the one difference being that he/she is invested in the stock unlike yourself . It's Friday night , give yourself and the rest of us a break it's so dull.

Did you not look at the 9/11 presentation?The damming bit is low oil saturation below the newly established OWC. It's all there are slide 11.Then the CPR page 28 shows well 4 flowing water from 5037 to 5048ft MDThen page 29 well 7 clear oil/brine interface at 1376.3m MD

Hurricane haven't demonstrated much expertise as a company so far to be fair it's been a complete FU, as for CA they employ industry experts on technical interpretation on this investment and have been a shareholder since before HUR were even listed .if you are dissing their experts credentials maybe you need to know who you are dissing? CA mistake like many shareholders and bondholders was not challenging Dr Ts interpretation because it's what they wanted to hear as investors , even though they took a lot of money off the top this investment cost them.Were you there questioning Dr Ts credentials in the glory days??

Thinking about it I can't see why CA would buy. It would only be to increase their stake ahead of a hostile bid for Board control.

What would they do differently? They have mooted stuffing CBs by ending restructuring talks and using existing cash rather than equity raise to do whatever. I think this would be illegal, breaking insolvency laws but they may have good advice.

However, they would wait till restructuring terms revealed and then buy cheaply, then call EGM to oust the Board.

Both HUR and CA have a lot more data and access to expertise than anyone here. For all you know, CA may be right but HUR have different short term priorities.

There appears to be a major bun fight going on behind the scenes. We will eventually find out about 'trapped oil' with Results Q&A unless CA update us first.
