CA's experts will have the data that's going into the CPR.

..Sily me, so whem CA claims,

"Over the last six months, the Fund has experienced a dramatic deterioration in the way that Hurricane is engaging with the Fund", he's spouting nonsense.

& if CA has been receiving inside information, surely CA should not be dealing in the stock?

HUR appear to have shut the door on CA but we don't know why. We need to hear HUR's version of events.

Where does it say this?

The bottom line is that Hur management appear to be behaving in an unprofessional, non-transparent and shoddy fashion.

Because they only own a few shares? Because they have closed the door on CA? But we don't know why they have shut the door.

HUR may be all this but let's hear their side before stringing them up.

And re the CPR, my point here is that, IMO, CA's principle criticism of HUR is for not properly promoting the upside potential including Lincoln.

.." The Company has previously announced that it is engaging with its stakeholders on a proposed development plan and associated funding for the Lancaster field. The Company confirms that these stakeholders include an ad hoc group of convertible noteholders. Discussions on the Company's forward work programme, strategy, financing and balance sheet recapitalisation are ongoing. "

& what CRS said,

..."On 2 March 2021, Hurricane stated that within its stakeholder engagement, "discussions on the Company's formal work programme, strategy, financing and balance sheet recapitalisation are ongoing". As described above, the Fund has had no such discussions with Hurricane,"

CRS as far as we know, is not a bondholder

You have already posted the CA NAV for 2020 so why are you asking ...seems strange thing do?I think anyone holding a decent position in HUR didnt fair too well in 2020 as they fell over 90% in the year.I notice though that CA asset value and share price has recovered quite strongly...not thanks to HUR holding i guess.

Not sure what bondholders should be expecting investing in an oil exploration and production company ? Suppose thats why they had conversion terms and high coupon for risk. If i wanted triple A I wouldn't be at the junk end of the market. I haven't been able to see the term sheet because its only available in person at an office in London. But if they signed up to terms which say they have no control on capex then i guess they should have no control on capex and the company should run as a business accordingly with appropriate capital expenditure to boost production and reserves thus maximising its potential ...which is the stated aim i thought.

CA refer to the quality of their consultant team, clearly they must support CA's assessment. Obviously our resident bears are even more knowledgeable and can somehow evaluate the latest data without seeing it!

..There you go again. What makes you think that CA or its consultant have seen the latest data? I'd suggest today's tantrum from CA suggests they haven't

I'm no expert on the fiduciary responsibilities of directors of listed PLCs, but I suspect ploughing on with drilling, in the hope of delivering success & thereby raising funds to pay off the CBs, would drive a coach & horses thru them....

ghhghh, the next OGA data point will be enlightening as they will have then completed a full month using the ESP.

This should give PI's a better idea as to how the forward production profile is looking.

On natural flow the last two data points showed water cut increasing by 7 to 8% per month it doesn't take a genius to work out where that was going.

Rather aptly the next OGA data point is due to be published on April Fools day..

Good post but this is now about how much meat is left on the carcass. CA clearly believe there is a significant amount and with existing FSPO/infrastructure it may be possible to develop quickly.

IMO the long term glory plays like Sea Lion/RKH are dead in the water but short term plays that maximise return on capital over say the next 5 years are very attractive and could attract capital.

Equity is a very geared but risky play on this potential. If I was equity I would be reassured by CA's update today - they either have a partner for Lincoln lined up or they are prepared to cough up some more dosh? Both are positives.
