@MrSmyth. Bloomberg: I used to have a Bloomberg terminal (changed jobs, so lost it). I still have a forward active on news alerts.
What I received:

(Bloomberg) -- BMO Capital Markets analyst David Round cut the recommendation on Hurricane Energy Plc to market perform from outperform.
• PT set to 30 pence, implies a 0.7% decrease from last price. Hurricane Energy average PT is 79.38 pence.
• Targets range from 30 pence to 130 pence
• Hurricane Energy had 9 buys, 1 hold, 0 sells previously: Bloomberg data

Arrogance indeed, says he with his eighth post on ADVFN since June

I am afraid you are quite mistaken, I started out as a sub-contractor through the eighties for volume builders, such as Charles Church, Beazer, Bovis, John Molem, McAlpine, Huntingate, niche builders like Silverwood Homes, all around Surrey,Berkshire and Hampshire. After the house crash, I built houses and extensions for private clients. Where regs change from county to county and with time always evolving

I have just completed a conversion of 1902 ex railway crossing house (bungalow) in Sutherland and had been unoccupied since 2010 and built in imperial clay brick, 65m floor area on 1 acre. I bought it recently for the price of a decent new car.

The property is now a mock tudor style, roof finished in hand made clay tiles with a first floor and 230m floor area. 2 bathrooms, 1 en suite hand made bespoke kitchen, bespoke staircase

I had a polish lad as a labourer, a sparky to second fix, the first fix cables I run in so it could be certified and a plumber to put in the gas boiler, which he connected to the pipework I run in. I plumbed and tiled (walls & floor) bathrooms and shower en suite. I built the kitchen made from sheet material (table top saw and plunge saw) I did the drains and foundations, which were dug to 2.5m, the depth of original building foundations.......not good enough ?? what ever

Your knowledge of building regs isn’t good enough. You would be better off on DIY forums where you will blend in with others that think they know everything.
As for your comment regarding stupid builders and bad architects, I’m sure there are quite a few in the building game laughing at your arrogance.
10/10 for effort though ;)

I agree with you, HVAC systems should be in every home. Would make homes far healthier for the occupants and control heat loss.

Shame it's not so easy on my listed house :(

Read up on HVAC systems mate. Your miles off. I am an engineer and HVAC systems should be in every home.I can't type for that long to tell you why!

Oh, and don't burn PIR, seriously bad for you and anyone around at the time.

Burning any fossil fuel based product is bad for you and everyone on this planet.

So what do you do with off cuts, surplus, demolition, it is all waste and unfit for land fill. Burning is the easiest but certainly not green and probably illegal

Regarding plasterboard you are talking out of your bottom, fireboard is for cladding around structural steel or the ceiling of say an integral garage with accommodation above. The board gives a possible 60 minute fire resistance. It is not for all walls and ceilings and PIR manufacturers do not ask for it

Regarding "air cannot get to it" When filling between rafters in a ventilated roof, the insulation is flush with the underside of the rafter and has to have at least 50mm gap from the top of the rafter to the top side of the insulation. This is an air gap that runs from the eaves vents up into the roof space. This stops condensation/sweating on the underside of the roof felt which is under the tiles. This air flow also acts as a fantastic flue up each rafter space and offers all the ingredients for an even better fire than if there were just rockwool. There is no plasterboard on that upper side

When ordering a load of PIR board at TP, last year, the manager said the order would be substantially delayed. Apparently there had been a fire at their stockist and all that was left was the rock wool and other such fiber installation

The recent tower fire highlights the complete lack of understanding, those that make the rules and regulations have of their actions and what a price we pay. It has to be said most of these regs are from the EU

I made my point and will leaving it there
