You are just feeding ngms. If you don't want to read his de-ramping posts then just filter him as I have done. If he does not get any response he will stop posting.

Actually what I said was that after Well 4 they changed the mud composition due to previous skinned wells and skinning hasn't been such a problem since then.

ngsm27: you said "Well 4 [drilled on Lancaster in 2009/10] was heavily skinned due to mud, Warwick West failed for totally different reasons."

Do you have hard information about why Warwick West "failed"? If so, what is your source? Or are you just speculating?

Hurricane Energy, in their RNS dated 2nd December, didn't give any indication why Warwick West only flowed at 1,300 bopd other than to say that it had only partially cleaned up. They went on to say that they "are currently evaluating the results of the three wells drilled and tested in 2019. Further technical analysis will be required to determine the impact on the potential for the GWA to be single accumulation, and on volumetrics." They haven't released reservoir pressures, productivity indexes, height of oil column or much other relevant data for Warwick West or Lincoln Crestal AFAIK other than to say that they both encountered substantial columns of 43 API light oil as did Warwick Deep. I expect that they will want the analysis of the GWA drilling programme in 2019 to be completed and independently checked via a CPR before they release any further details. It took over 8 months from the completion of the Halifax well before the December 2017 CPR was issued. If it takes a similar amount of time to complete the updated GWA CPR, it could be July or August this year before it is released. It could take longer than this because I expect that Hurricane and Spirit's immediate priority will be to re-plan this year's drilling programme and try to get the necessary permissions to tie back Lincoln Crestal to the Aoka Mizu before the 22 June deadline (ref the December 13 RNS)

Btw, Halifax also failed to flow. The reasons for this were set out in the December 2017 CPR. It has nonetheless been assigned substantial contingent resources and enormous estimates of oil and gas initially in place. I have seen nothing that Hurricane has said so far that indicates that Warwick is anything other than another substantial discovery. What they need to do now is figure out how big, whether or not it is connected to Lincoln, why it didn't flow like Lincoln Crestal and what the next steps should be. This is exactly where I expected them to be at this stage of the GWA drilling programme and I'm encouraged by what I have read so far. Too many people have had unrealistically optimistic expectations of how long it will take to fully assess the GWA, prove the resources and develop a production plan.

Oil slipping back today I noticed. Seems like the new reality is that the US being an exporter caps major price rallies from middle east instability

..The US is close to balance on the crude/oil products trade, still a net importer of crude, albeit on a much smaller scale in most recent times

Cheers muddy-40!! The guy's new to the sector, new to blogging & new to advfn. No probs with that....was intrigued by his Cluff comments....quotes a geo CoS for one prospect, but it's not clear what vintage of seismic that's based on.....2 mins shows that Shell/Cluff took delivery of updated 3D seismic over Selene around 6 weeks ago.

How can I be wrong or right for that matter?I've not backed either case in fact I've made it clear the Dr T's interpretation will most likely be correct FFS.

Bocase you beat me to my own post!

Hello all. I have followed HUR for a number of years and today I have been reading and mainly enjoying the debate. I think ngms raises some valid questions but only the company can answer them and by sharing more data and with more time as has always been the case. The good news for holders I think is that if ngms turns out to be wrong in his concerns, his postings really won't have had any impact so we should welcome dissenting views.

But I've bought in here in the last few weeks at a little above 30p and I am comfortable with the possible problems and the possible gains. There are some questions that need answering around the EPS but there have always been plenty of risks around it. It has always been about ticking off boxes over time and I think the management have done a good job on the whole. Not perfect, but when is O&G ever that.

The share price suggests my recent entry is contrarian but I am happy with that this time around. Good luck to all in/watching. I can't blame anyone who has sold out for sticking around, because this year will be exciting for HUR either way!

Ngms27,

The only reason you have a problem is because you've sold. You introduce extreme terms such as water breakthrough within your posts with absolutely no proof of anything amiss and expect to be taken seriously.

If you could supply an iota of proof to back up any of your claims since you've sold and littered this board with your musings that may be another matter. Unfortunately fact based posts seem alien to you since you have no holding here.

Ngms27 filtered for talking drivel !

Can we get back to Brexit or Scottish Independence please!!!! At least the posts showed a bit of variety then! No agenda? I no longer believe that.
