24/3/2017 16:03 | 24 Mar '17 - 15:09 - 16890 of 16905 2 0 Edit Wrap it up guys, you've chewed this to a rag. I've had enough, so have many more I bet! They just DON'T listen.🙉 | rayrac
24/3/2017 16:01 | zztop, The first well in this program was on radio silence - so as to facilitate enough time to apply for and acquire Halifax license. A good approach in my book, keep the competitive edge. Cash | cashandcard
24/3/2017 15:58 | That's if it is delayed, not end of month yet.. | zztop
24/3/2017 15:55 | Do we know if hurricane delayed the last well rns? | zztop
24/3/2017 15:51 | Perhaps worth bearing in mind that if the result is really good, Hur will need a Defence doc at the ready. Even if one already exists, that would need updating and any time gained now might be useful. | mrwaite
24/3/2017 15:28 | EE, the original plan was to run a DST weeks ago, around structural closure, before drilling down to look for the OWC. | thegreatgeraldo
24/3/2017 15:24 | Ahem... not a theory of mine, but just about the only explanation for a technical success given the depth they've drilled to. Agree it's odd that HUR are sitting on the result, given their obligation to release market sensitive info "without delay" | thegreatgeraldo
24/3/2017 15:21 | I feel hurricane is such a good professional company... There'd no sweat with the share price ... | zztop
24/3/2017 15:18 | Hi ee, they started lifting anchors around 10pm Thursday, so must have completed well ops a long time before then. | wessexmario
24/3/2017 15:17 | Drilling/testing could have finished 2 days ago, given that it takes some time to suspend the well. | thegreatgeraldo
24/3/2017 15:14 | .....mmmmm.......If the outcome was totally clear one way or the other, they would surely have said so. When would they have actually finished testing? How many hours before the rig moved off? | emptyend
24/3/2017 15:12 | Think we can rule out a deeper, secondary target.... | thegreatgeraldo
24/3/2017 15:12 | Going blue | pauliewonder
24/3/2017 15:11 | Empty - thanks for clarifying; on balance I think the following possibilities are likely:a) the well was successful b) the well was not successfulI am awaiting an RNS for clarification :0P.s. I still reckon flat/blue finish as people just can't help themselves when it comes to the possibility of missing out on option a) | terry hardacre
24/3/2017 15:09 | Wrap it up guys, you've chewed this to a rag. I've had enough, so have many more I bet! | rayrac
24/3/2017 15:06 | Why would they drill to 1800m TVDSS unless they had hydrocarbons? Especially given the rig costs etc.well of course that is an excellent question, as people don't rush to do that sort of thing. When I've seen it previously, it was because the main target was a duster but there was a possible second target below. | emptyend
24/3/2017 14:55 | ngms27, Exactly, It maybe that DST was restricted or not well located to intercept major fractures. However, if there was no further oil, why extend the well? It would be a pointless exercise. Cash | cashandcard
24/3/2017 14:51 | Well the known fact are: The well was drilled to 1800m TVDSS as per OGA website. Thats a full 760m beyond structural closure. The well plan was not to deepen unless they had a successful DST withing structural closure The Rig has lifted anchors and is off to Norwegian waters. From publicly available ship tracking AIS A chopper landed on the rig a few minutes ago. From Flight Radar 24 Why would they drill to 1800m TVDSS unless they had hydrocarbons? Especially given the rig costs etc. | ngms27
24/3/2017 14:50 | The only technical success that springs to mind is a large oil column, but very little evidence of fractures....... | thegreatgeraldo
24/3/2017 14:45 | Cash - Makes sense that. BH | bloodhound
24/3/2017 14:43 | emptyend, Going by the initial wells, they took time to analyse the results. I suspect we'll get something comprehensive nextweek. I suspect its either a big step-out from Lancaster OR a distinct large oilfield in its own right. If it was a dud, it would've been reported some time back. Cash | cashandcard |
