13/1/2017 13:05 | ....duplicate post. | agnabeya
13/1/2017 13:04 | It's not about AIM. It's about the company and its potential, wherever it is. You only make money by taking a punt, otherwise you guys wouldn't be here. That's how I've financed my retirement for the last 20yrs or so. Yes profits should be taken, but not at this stage in this share. IMO. | rayrac
13/1/2017 12:55 | Well, Stobie isn't exactly flush with shares now is he? I'm not bothered because I'm not 'up there' with some of you guys. But if I was I might give some thought as to why he's that light! Perhaps he's been looking at this thread... And got the jitters?👉 | rayrac
13/1/2017 12:55 | This caught my eye Dr Robert Trice holds 26,260,024 shares in HUR or £13m, once the price gets to £5 maybe he could take his wife shopping! | davidblack
13/1/2017 12:47 | Cheers Cinque. I've not been in HUR long....so I got lucky on the rise. Yes, I doubled my monet on HUR in a short time. Sometimes that happens - but not as often as I'd like. :) Just before it, I was in BLVN for about a week and got a few K there. I think it all comes down to how much you are willing to put in. I wouldn't take just a few quid profit if I thought it was going higher. And it's amazing how a thousand or so adds up and gives you more to stake on your next share. At the moment I'm holding HUR. The potential is still there...but I found AIM is a bubble machine and just about as predictable.....:( | agnabeya
13/1/2017 12:35 | Hi agna, You've done well to get to doubling your money - but that couldn't have been by taking you profits quickly, surely? Now that you're in profit, yes, you can trade and so allsorts, but you've got there using a different system, so it would appear. The good news is that it works for you :-) best regards | cinques
13/1/2017 12:24 | 13 January 2017 Hurricane Energy plc Award of Shares under the Share Incentive Plan Hurricane Energy plc (AIM: HUR.L, "Hurricane" or the "Company"), announces that it received notification on 13 January 2017 that, following payroll contributions made on 13 January 2017, MM & K Plan Trustees Limited ("SIP Trustee"), trustee of the Hurricane Energy plc Share Incentive Plan ("SIP"), awarded 227,726 ordinary shares of £0.001 each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to participants in the SIP at a price of 49 pence per share, being the closing mid-market price on 12 January 2017. The SIP award has been partly satisfied by the issue of 127,726 new Ordinary Shares to the SIP Trustee at a subscription price of £0.001 per share, being the nominal value of the shares. Each participating employee will receive an allocation of Partnership Shares (being shares acquired at market value using contributions deducted from employees' pre-tax salaries; "Partnership Shares"), Matching Shares (being ordinary shares of twice the number of Partnership Shares acquired by an employee which are paid for by the Company; "Matching Shares") and Free Shares (being ordinary shares to a value not exceeding £3,600 in the current tax year, which are paid for by the Company; "Free Shares"). Under the SIP, the following directors of the Company purchased or were awarded the following number of Ordinary Shares: Name Number of Partnership Shares Number of Matching Shares Number of Free Shares Dr Robert Trice 3,673 7,346 7,346 Alistair Stobie 3,673 7,346 7,346 Neil Platt 3,673 7,346 7,346 The aggregate of their beneficial holdings are now as follows: Name Number of Ordinary Shares % Dr Robert Trice 26,260,024 2.18% Alistair Stobie 18,365 0.002% Neil Platt 621,116 0.05% Application has been made for 127,726 new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM. Admission is expected to take place on 19 January 2017. The shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares. Following the SIP Awards, Hurricane's total issued and voting share capital will comprise 1,202,988,123 Ordinary Shares. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, securities of the Company. | davidblack
13/1/2017 11:58 | Apologies in advance for posting what I think most of you had already figured out. I’ve had another look at the various rnss and it does look like Kerogen took a chunk of the November Placing. Of the 93m Placing shares subscribed for by Kerogen and Crystal Amber [rns 20/10/16], Kerogen took 67m and Crystal Amber took the remaining 26m, in round figures. Kerogen’s present holding is close to 361m (30%) | jacks13
13/1/2017 11:45 | ZZ....hi there! Yes, I Remember totally believing the share would hit £20 when we hit oil! Lol. I also remember siting on paper losses of £100K+ after Liz. When they rose again I I got so much profit by selling out just before the next Duster. I learned the hard way that the future profits don't exist. The only profit you have is what you have today. I also learned price predictions don't mean a lot. Have you seen RKH? A billion barrels now....and sitting at 20p last week! Cinques.....I'm not sure what you mean? About 'quick profits and fast losses'? I do know that if I have £80k invested and am at almost double my average share price ..I have almost £80k profit plus my initial stake. It's not pennies...to me anyway. I can take the profit and put that into something else... Or hold it and buy back in to HUR when there's a dip. There's nothing difficult to it. No Share rises in a straight line....they can fall in one though. Buying and selling is the only control we have as PIs. | agnabeya
13/1/2017 11:20 | gawd those where the days. i thought they would never end, but they did, and a motto for some aim shares... its gona get worse before it gets........WORSE!! | zztop
13/1/2017 11:19 | agna... good advice learned with tonnes of tuff love over years with falkland shares especially DESIRE petrolium, and the oil to water, over night ...scam? thanks | zztop
13/1/2017 11:16 | Taking profits quickly only works if your take losses even faster. Now, if you're good at picking shares that go up and seldom go down, then taking a profit and repeating is nice - but it's not easy. | cinques
13/1/2017 11:11 | Looks like weather window should open Sat pm onwards. | pcok
13/1/2017 10:52 | AgnTHANKS FOR THE ADVICE! | gary38
13/1/2017 10:39 | Qazwsxedc69........s Everyone has their own strategy. It's important to develop your own. Whatever suits you. The only piece of advice I ever took ( after years of being in AIM)..was to take profit when it was there. It has worked marvellously for me, so I pas it on. Remember, if you sell a share when you are in profit, you can buy back in again if the share price falls and you think there is still potential. Some platforms favour long term investment. AIM isn't one of them IMHO. Edit: and I should also add to that advice...never fall in love with a share. | agnabeya
13/1/2017 10:15 | I'll kick off, ahem.I hear that the company has been lying in all of its RNS's and they have no oil, have never even stepped foot on a rig, and are in fact working this ponzi out of a Portakabin in a railway siding in Basingstoke, and are going to do an imminent placing of 45billion shares. I am therefore taking out a short at £75,000 / point.I will be a multi-millionaire by Monday, oh yes. | terry hardacre
13/1/2017 09:42 | FSAwatcher filtered here, constant deramper on multiple threads. Don't know whether thats a ploy to get punters to sell so that he can buy in cheaper. | bigbigdave
13/1/2017 09:38 | I have no idea who to give the most credence to on this board. People like Control1, laserdisc, Chessman etc etc who regularly give good insight, find titbits and provide great analysis and food for thought. Or FSAwatcher who seems to be actively trying to break every grammar rule known to mankind and says - apropos of nothing - "40p comin soon" (sic). Some great stuff on this board and (almost) all appreciated. | qazwsxedc69

13/1/2017 08:08 | control ,apart from bespoke dilution/funding ie CA and kerogen ,which lots of us also took I cannot see any issues re IIs V ourselves ,bond holders always get the cream when theres big problems ie GKP but the current performance ie since 2016 campaign im happy with. if we do end up being bought out surely the end event is the same for us all . im not naïve to say that a pi like my self holding 300k plus is as important as Iis for want of a better word but I hold with an intention to buy more when funds come available | gibso6767
12/1/2017 23:55 | FSA, if you are in for 5 minutes then that will be a problem for you. However, as has already been explained to you on this board (partly in reply to my little dip out/in yesterday), this is not an issue to anyone who does not have ADHD like symptoms and who can manage to sit still for more than 5 seconds. If the end outcome is considerably higher than the current SP, it makes no difference... gibso, if only I had a pound for every time I heard that one (your last sentence) on the BB's. Rest assured that the directors will do the best for HUR as a business concern however more often than not, this does not include retail shareholders interests. We are not considered important by "the market" and have little to no say. Dr Trice has come up trumps so far, what we retail holders need to hope for is that he continues to produce the goods which IS in our interests... | control1
12/1/2017 22:32 | I will buy more if this happens , contracts are pretty secrative , why should competitors etc know share price civic costs etc or other potential hirers of suchlike . I'm confident that HUR have everyone's interest for the best | gibso6767
12/1/2017 22:23 | yeah i tell you dont like questions that raise concerns just talk of billions of barrels you not bein frank with investors are you? you know wot happen if that weather window drift nuther week dont ya 40p comin soon is that scarey for ya | fsawatcher |
