02/12/2016 15:04 | BP Buys Interests in 2 North Sea Prospectsby Rigzone Staff|Monday, November 28, 2016inShare39 submit to reddit BP announced Monday that it has acquired interests in two North Sea exploration prospects, Jock Scott and Craster, after purchasing parts of several licenses to the east and west of Shetland.In the east, BP bought a 25 percent interest in Statoil-operated licenses P2275 and P2097, which includes the Jock Scott prospect, and a 40 percent interest in the nearby P2163 and P2147 licenses. Statoil, which will remain the operator for all of these licenses, and BP plan to drill an exploration well on Jock Scott in mid-2017.In the west of Shetland, BP has acquired a 40 percent interest in the north and a 30 percent interest in the south of the Nexen-operated license P2062, which includes the Craster prospect. At that time it was Dragon Oil and eventually that did well for me.Hurricane appear to have a very driven team and I don't think i will be waiting that long before the rewards are ready for the taking.
