28/4/2018 09:44 | HD - If HUR isn't taken out by year end as you suggest, I'd say it would be a certainty by year end 2019 if Lancaster produces as expected. For me I'd prefer the latter (as you would) as this would give us far greater leverage and a much higher take out price. BH | bloodhound
27/4/2018 23:11 | Haider - the company is rapidly approaching its early production phase and it will become highly cash generative. If you dig deep into what they actually have, you may find that the Greater Lancaster Area and the Greater Warwick Area combined could make this the largest accumulation ever discovered off the UK. Yes, even bigger than Brent or Forties. Obviously there's a lot to prove before such a conclusion can be reached with any certainty but there are plenty of senior people in the oil industry who are well aware that it might be the case. And HUR currently have 100% of it. I hope it isn't taken over but my guess it will be, and probably by the end of this year. If that is to be its fate, I hope it turns into the most almighty bidding war so that long term holders can get a decent reward for their patience and belief. Stranger things have happened! | hiddendepths
27/4/2018 16:58 | I do believe the share price was walked down to accommodate the large trades which appeared an hour or so ago. I would suggest we have some big buyers interested as the share price has held up well. Could be institutions, I wonder!! | chessman2
27/4/2018 16:37 | Strong support at 43p... | francis55
27/4/2018 15:22 | I think there's been some serious positioning / re positioning going on of late here. Whether or not we get to see the bigger picture via an RNS remains to be seen. The traded volumes are way outside of any pi activity. BH | bloodhound
27/4/2018 14:32 | HD, continued buying indeed and some too big for pi's buying as part of the new ISA year. The new tax year also allows for crystallising gains and I wonder how many pi's are Aldo doing that.So I guess we wait for a holdings RNS which would be 60 million or so shares purchased. If I did not want to show my hand I would be buying just under the 3%.If that is the case then I would be expect a few more high volume days to come.TBH, I'm not that bothered if a large major Plc or fund takes a chunk as Kerogen appear to have supported HUR and I am sure they would like to see their patience (and money) well rewarded.I will sleep easy ;-) | hopeful holder
27/4/2018 14:17 | According to these guys the valuation of Amazon Apple Tesla... is way way OTT. | sue999
27/4/2018 14:15 | hd I've not really kept track of this board over the past few months as my attention was focused elsewhere. But what I have been picking up is the idea of an oil major making a move. But is that the only route to share price appreciation? Say a 'hedge-fund' wanted to flush out an industry player earlier than the latter would ideally have made a move, would it make sense to bid up the price to increase the ultimate cost? I think the strongest argument against the above happening is the market cap and the need for deep pockets and the willingness of HUR sceptics to short. Sorry if the above has been discussed already. | haideralifool
27/4/2018 14:10 | Over 18 million traded so far on what seems to be a quiet day in the market generally. Plenty of sellers in evidence today including our own 500,000 boy, but all the loose stock keeps being absorbed. I'm just starting to get a little bit nervous about the continual heavy buying. | hiddendepths
27/4/2018 13:55 | Having contrarian views posted is quite helpful as it makes you re assess your views. To me that has been a really positive thing as I have considered those views, re read (well flicked through) company presentations and RNS's to come to the conclusion that I am more than happy with progress, cash now, potential cash generation, current share price and potential share price moving forwards.Unfortunate | hopeful holder

27/4/2018 13:33 | Just stating the obvious.. mallorca 9 is an ignoramus and should always be ignored. I can't even be bothered to filter him. | hiddendepths
27/4/2018 12:54 | That is a great argument mallorca9, but I think I can counter it with the following; "the Market Cap is way too low and is likely to rise rapidly." | stepone68
27/4/2018 12:51 | Just stating the obvious .. the Market Cap is way too high and is likely to fall steeply. | mallorca 9
