temujiin Perhaps "the uncertainty" isn't shared by others? Perhaps (for a select few) Hum is "holding up" for good reason?

#DB, todays US inflation data will knock any rate cuts into the long grass for another month or 2, higher rates for longer results in a stronger USD/DXY and POG now dropping off a little as are index futures..

Gold was pricing in a weaker inflation data set and the prospect of rate cuts sooner, only 0.1% in it but May 15th for the next ones..

[edit], despite a pullback when the US inflation data dropped, POG futures are now recovering.. :o)

I'm hoping they get back over 10p when I will cash in enough of these to pay for a Total Knee Replacement. The NHS did the left one a couple of years ago but are overdue for doing the right one.

HUM holding up really well considering the uncertainty. Would like to get a sizable holding back in for Kouroussa but still too many unknowns imo. Good to see the rises tho for you guys who stayed in.

however i despise doing so (as i think its undervalued!) i lightened up a bit on my holdings here as it was too much - but then i had bought some at 4p amidst the panic. Some of my topups were 12p+ With this bunch you need to have the ammunition to top-up if necessary. The moves here will drive a normal person's blood pressure up the skies.

Despite the lack of news the share price is still climbing. Clearly enough punters think it a bargain of sorts.

Then you probably remember BES and the 80s.Some real crackpot schemes, like scallop farming and angora llamas.

At the current gold price, when we get up to commercial production the debt payback is less than 1 year. Yanni will also be higher grade from Q2 this year.

I'd tie up your laces now then Jaspo, 11p is going to come very quickly

Jaspo, if small miners are too stressful for you then definitely stay away from small pharma.

PH I'm still invested unfortunately but not topping up anymore. An average around 11p so it would feel like an escape if I could recover that.

It is very quickly rolling into a month of the Corica stoppage, they downed tools in 17th, with our RNS on the 18th, what plans have the BOD put in place to reach commercial production..?

Wake up guys. If a takeover was to materialize do you honestly think it would be multiples of the current share price When did you last see a TO at a premium of more than 100%?

I'd imagine most are looking for the next spike and will run for the hills.

Might not be a bad thing. No idea what a successful price might be but it would be several multiples of current share price There would be competition I'm sure.Right now I'd be happy with 40p.

Debt is nothing in that regards too Darren as it book value circa 3 times the debt now.

Did you hear anything about the Corica hires btw?

Surly other miners will be looking at this as a massive takeover opportunity at this price

this is absolutely terrible management. It is one of the only miners that is not performing for me but I'm persisting with it because I believe in the assets in the ground. The Kouroussa asset is solid and there are explorers near it finding excellent grades so I believe the resource can be easily expanded. If the Kouroussa mine was performing as hopelessly forecasted this should be trading at 40p+ by now.

Here is a snapshot of my performance with some others

FSM Jan 16 2026 $2.5 call = $16687 profit (unrealised)
PAAS Jan 16 2026 $15 call = $14000 profit (unrealised)

and given the very long expiry dates of the calls I don't think I'm going to close them anytime soon. Miners were so unloved that you could pick up calls on majors at very low prices. If i had bigger balls I would have bought a lot more but you can't predict the future.

I've also taken some very speculative positions on canadian juniors silver miners.
Impact Silver (well in profit)
Silver X Mining (opened a couple of days ago)
Guanajato Silver (opened today)
GR Silver Mining (bought at the very lows)
Cerrado Gold (very cheap gold miner in Argentina I doubled down because it went down after its deal with Hochschild!!)

Those canadian juniors can really drive you crazy and have a habit of diluting with warrants so you have to be modest with position size. And I haven't had a great time with Canadian miners because they tend to get beaten up and then picked up by the majors for chips change. But having expended several hundreds of hours researching I know what i'm getting into. They go ballistic as silver goes up.

I'm very lucky. I have some clients that are sharp as razors in the investing game and they sometimes throw me a bone. HYSR is a recent one. FSLR was another, it went from $6 to $260 in a year.
