Regardless of the ownership it's the perception that Zima are ready and willing to help that's important. Ideally Corica get back to work, but HUM will be looking at Plan B C and D if they don't. Zima probably have contacts regarding blast engineers.

Without facts everything is a guess. So here's my scenario.Corica have been undelivering for some time (as reported), and have been deemed in breach of contract.HUM mgt have got fed up with Corica and have been looking at options to replace them. HUM now has suitable options available and possibly anticipated Corica's down-tools which now provides context to sack Corica and bring in new mining teams. Better a short delay (say a month) than continuing underperformance by Corica.

Well, I don't see how HUM can avoid a bail-out equity raise here - no matter how well the gold price is doing.
Presumably Coris Bank will take the shares, leaving them as a majority shareholder, and at a discount to the current share price. That's not good for PIs.
Also, can I point out that there is lot of hopeful but potentially costly PI ignorance about how much work is involved in moving down a bench in an open pit?
All in all, this is still an "avoid". There are much better gold plays out there.

We don't know if they are the owners of the fifth fleet though. They possibly are but their second Linkedin post on Monday makes it look like a new partnership to me.

HUM just need to blast that mythical final bench and whatever fleet is available will make great dents in the circa 5k AISC it's currently carrying.

I think Platts Zimalco posts have helped to show that the owners of the 5th fleet are very supportive of HUM which indicates a possible solution if Corica keep having a hissy fit. They don't look set up to handle the whole operation from what I've seen but might be able to step up?!

Assuming the Kour/Corica workers aren't getting paid then hopefully there will be increasing pressure by the workers to get back.

Getting $2150+ per oz for what gold HUM is producing is going to help, but this, together with the delay from fuel issues is probably stretching HUM's bank account so I hope Coris agree to delay first payments.

The share price is behaving like some news might have leaked, or perhaps just being bought in anticipation, either way, nice to see..

An RNS on a resolution would be nice to see too.. :o)

Zam1 This has ALWAYS behaved completely irrationally. Because of that, market trust is lacking. I believe this really is Del Boys absolute last chance at stardom.

Michael Green, Chief Strategist at Simplify Asset Management, said that the "primary fear that is driving gold prices higher is not inside the United States, but... coming from China and elsewhere."Short Link: https://refini.tv/3PLGCXi Video Transcript:So, I think this is actually a really interesting one, because if we look at bitcoin and we look at gold, they seem to be powered by two very different components. Bitcoin has had a dramatic improvement in its availability or the ease with which people can buy it with the introduction of the ETFs. We've seen a ton of money, this is actually, most people don't realize this but bitcoin in ETFs in aggregate is now larger than gold. We've generally seen gold outflows, we've seen bitcoin inflows into those ETFs, and that's helped to push the price higher. Now interestingly, in gold, we're seeing actually something very different. Most Americans understandably focus on US explanations for why things are happening, and it seems very obvious, right?US is on an unsustainable debt path. We all get the headlines, we all understand that there are components of it that do indeed feel unsustainable. But interestingly enough, in macro world, the US is actually one of the cleanest dirty shirts out there, right? So, it's messed up as it seems here, it's a heck of a lot better than it is elsewhere. And if we look to China in particular, what we're seeing in China is premiums that are being paid to buy gold inside China are exploding. They're significantly higher. We're seeing huge retail participation initially around the Chinese New Year, but that's continued to extend. And it actually looks like the primary fear of this powering gold higher is not inside the United States, but actually outside theUnited States, coming from China and elsewhere.

Gold price gone up like rocket recently.I don't really understand this rapid rise in gold under normal situations with current price Hum would be 30p+ by now.Seems r the hold is there for HUM to take it once the current issue is resolved it should go back up like a rocket I think.A chance of another big minor make s bid offer to take ownership of HUM?

Plat I agree. Dan obviously IS a smart cookie. He's smart enough to get paid a ridiculous salary for doing a PP job. Over the years I have met many guys that know absolutely nothing about a particular subject but very quickly become the smartest guy in the room after talking to a few real experts. And for that reason, (and this isn't just my opinion)he should have been removed a long time ago. He's learning, but years ago he wasn't smart enough to realize that mining decisions should be left to the experienced guys that know about mining.

But why should someone be entitled to learn at the expense of the shareholders? Because, that's exactly what it was.

Plat. I honestly don't know. Over the years some of the strangest, unexplained things have been going on here. Perhaps this really is a turning point, but it's tough for anyone to comment with any absolute conviction because unfortunately, I don't believe the man who makes the decisions here knows with 100% certainty. He's either playing his cards close to his chest or he just doesn't have the necessary experience and this could just be another banana skin down the road. But the way gold is moving, I hope this move N is sustainable.

at the end of the day as someone has said in this price environment it is about:

is the gold resource there!? do you believe the resource is as estimated? If so everything else is noise! There are explorers out there which have a much bigger market cap.
