well cable has suddenly come off quite a bit and HGM might recover towards the close and is trying to do that with a 290 or so finish likely - my timing is often out ! ( wry smile). Good luck to those still holding stock or a long opening position .

Yep- timely reminder here that this is a stock not gold... and drops mostly as stocks do... hopefully markets start to rise at close, hgm along with them. Gold only very marginally down since same time yesterday, so relatively flat.

sadly not looking likely unless cable suddenly weakens quite a bit . Funny old day and bearish market overall maybe not helping the gold stocks . hoping for a 295 close but might be wishful thinking .

gold goes higher and gold stocks hit today and I assume it is the weak $US which is the cause . Gold coming off now and no doubt gold stocks will go down more towards the close !

Other than the vice president, the Constitution does not specify an order of succession to the Oval Office, which is determined by federal statute.

Under the Presidential Succession Act of 1947, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, not the secretary of State, is in line for the presidency after the vice president.

Therefore, if both Donald Trump and Mike Pence are either removed from office or resign, then Pelosi becomes president.

Postal ballots are ripe with fraud. No wonder the Democrats want them.

No presidential candidate ever has gone on record to say they will accept whatever the result is. There is always scope for lawsuits (it's almost a tradition). You will not see Biden say this either. This is not a "trump thing".

The only way to change the date is through constitutional change. Trump has no powers to do so himself.

If no president is elected by January next year then by default Nancy Pelosi will become president and there is nothing Trump can do about it.

A little information can go a long way in understanding what goes on in US.

My take on all of this is that Trump is trying to get postal ballots sufficiently discredited so that states will insist on in-person ballots as far as possible.

It is not unreasonable - the US postal system is simply not equipped to deal with this. The alternative is to have a 7 day window to wait for all ballots to be counted. That is crazy.

1. 2020 Presidential election should be delayed - very Putinesk. If Trump is going to lose Novembers Presidential election why not just cancel it until he is able to win.

2. Insurance companies should pay businesses for business disruption due to the pandemic even if there is a 'No Pandemic' Clause in the businesses insurance policy.

The reason why there is a no pandemic clause is because a pandemic is not time limited like an Earthquake which lasts 1 or 2 minutes at the most or a hurricane which may last 48 hours at the most whereas a pandemic may last 1 month, 6 months 12 months who knows???

Adjournment of Annual General Meeting

Highland Gold Mining Limited ("Highland Gold" or the "Company", AIM: HGM) regrets to report that its Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), held today at 26 New Street, St Helier, Jersey at 11.00 am local time, has been adjourned for 24 hours and will resume at 11.00 am on 31 July 2020 at the same address.

The adjournment is due to a clerical error by which the Company's registrar tallied proxy votes against the shareholder register as at an earlier date rather than the actual voting deadline. While a quorum was in attendance today, the Company decided to adjourn the meeting to ensure that the proxies are properly counted and that the will of shareholders with regards to the resolutions to be proposed and voted upon at the AGM is properly ascertained.

The Company will make a further announcement on the results of the AGM immediately following the conclusion of the adjourned meeting.
