20/7/2020 12:32 | This is a bit like groundhog day - same as back when we were struggling to break through 180p: "Being held down so can be bought for 20% premium" "They should be bought by /merge with X" where X is whatever the most recent miner being name dropped So much anguish and all for nothing.... | casual47

20/7/2020 08:51 | g No, I have ggp, poly and hgm. My latest interest is mno, bought initially just above 1.5p in the lockdown and continued to do so. Take a look. What is the PE of Yamana? | srpactive
20/7/2020 08:29 | Anyone follow or invest in Yamana gold? Any thoughts on the company... Worth a closer look? Yamana Gold said it is in advanced stages of the listing process on the London Stock Exchange and intends for common shares to be admitted to the standard segment of the Official List and to trading on the LSE's Main Market in "the next few months". The company, already listed in the US and Canada, has a market capitalisation of USD5.1 billion according to a US Security & Exchange Commission filing. Yamana said that in addition to its other listings on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange, it believes that a listing on the LSE will bring European investors on to the company's share register. It added that is not intending to raise equity capital in conjunction with the LSE listing. Yamana is a Canadian-based precious metals producer with significant gold and silver production, exploration properties, and land positions throughout the Americas, including Canada, Brazil, Chile and Argentina. "This is an ideal time to be joining the London market. Yamana is in as strong a position as it has ever been, with a strong and rising cash flow profile, an outstanding portfolio of producing mines and projects, and a number of compelling opportunities to grow organically. We have the balance sheet strength to advance these opportunities while continuing to increase shareholder returns, as evidenced by the three increases to our dividend over the past 12 months," said Chair Peter Marrone. | geckotheglorious
20/7/2020 07:40 | a1 It was posted on another thread of a holding of mine ggp. Just thought it might be of interest here. If you say a 20% premium, it makes it clear why we were rammed down from 280p. dyor active | srpactive
19/7/2020 22:29 | srpactive, Thanks for the link, doesn't the Oligarch in that take over only want 51% of the equity and at a 20+% premium ? | auson1
19/7/2020 08:26 | hxxps://www.australi | srpactive
17/7/2020 16:38 | srpactive, Is the high Oligarch ownership not more to do with control of the company being in hands which are Putin friendly ? There was close to 5% stock on loan here so there is some shorting activity going on. Quite easy to move this market and could just be a hedge for Gold longs ? | auson1

17/7/2020 14:23 | IMHO nothing will move this up apart from a MBO. dyor Sorry I will leave the thread now. | srpactive
17/7/2020 13:46 | Yes all of your comments are correct. It is just good that we have rising eps and dividend to ensure a share price rises, oh forgot we haven't. L Yes no correlation, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if gold had dropped $400 in a year we would have too. IMHO this is being kept down for someone and seeings that no bid could get through due to the major shareholders owning so many, it is quite obvious what is happening, management just buy it. July 19 gold $1400 hgm 215p July 20 gold $1800 plus hgm 220p. Right, I will not comment for a while now. active | srpactive
17/7/2020 13:35 | Stock markets in general and any particular stock has very little correlation with the economy or economic out look much more to do with Sentiment, Sentiment, Sentiment and media cheer-leading hype. | loganair
17/7/2020 12:42 | srpactive, So many reasons why gold stocks can lose their correlation to the average gold price prevailing. Just look at the low reached here (23p) a mere 5.5 years ago when sanctions were applied to Russia over Ukraine/Crimea!! No real logic, just perception of risk and a general 'lemming rush' with leveraged position hitting margin calls, et al. It all feeds on itself and sometimes presents fantastic opportunities to buy undervalued assets. A more general situation occurred in mid-2008 as we all know - and what an amazing time that was to buy :-) As the saying goes, 'buy when there is blood on the streets'. | chipperfrd
17/7/2020 12:36 | Cheers SR and good to have you back on this board, been several years now :-). I wish I could get 400 lol, but for now I see this share price as very good value and am holding and expect a rise, fingers crossed. | stevedaytrader
17/7/2020 10:13 | Okay I will relax and shut up then and leave it to you and sdt, just please ensure you get 400p plus for me. tia active One last thing maybe plot hgm against the 10 year chart. hxxps://www.bullionb | srpactive

17/7/2020 10:04 | SRP any takeover will have a premium and be subject to shareholder approval. You know what Frankie said! | uknighted
17/7/2020 09:51 | uk As you know I play a similar game to you. But a takeover at a low price, then no dividends is not my ideal scenario. dyor | srpactive
17/7/2020 09:45 | I’m in here for the long haul - capital appreciation and dividends. As long as the divis keep coming the capital appreciation will take care of itself. | uknighted
