30/5/2018 16:14 | Haha indeed. Not as widely as spread as I used to be, and , like many, have some real howlers I'm trying to make up for.. :) Mainly in Gold / Blue chip high yielders these days..The latter were historically my comfort zone since mid to late 80's. | fangorn2

30/5/2018 11:56 | Gold Production On The Cusp Of Peaking According Eugen This means these companies will be incurring new costs at the same time their profits are decreasing. That is the reason why so few new mines are being excavated and few new projects are being started. The earth’s easy-to-find gold has already been found and mined. There will not be another California Gold Rush. The search for new gold becomes increasingly challenging and expensive each year. Outdated equipment and technology need to be replaced. Vitaly Nesis, CEO of Polymetal, believes the fourth quarter of 2017 was the peak point for gold. He anticipates supply to fall up to 20 percent by 2022. | fangorn2

26/5/2018 20:50 | Some excellent gold charts and discussion on the following thread,"JTCod's Blog" - "JTC". Too much to post here. -------------- I liked this post. Mattjos 25 May '18 - 21:27 - 66943 of 66957 0 0 0 contrary to the wider media rhetoric of Gold falling during a period of rising interest rates since it offers no yield, gold statistically rises during periods of rising interest rates. I believe that is a). the 'smart money' pumping that rhetoric while they get long gold & b). the 'smart money' recognises that rising rates is usually in response to an inflationary or currency threat & as we climb the staircase of rising rates so, we get ever closer to the inevitable cycle bust .. in both cases, gold is the sensible hedge. In the current climate of hugely excessive debt, the 'smart money' knows full well that rates simply cannot rise very far before the interest burden will pull down the whole crazy scheme .. since this time around, debt is worse than ever before, I believe the rate at which gold climbs will be relatively fast & the level at which the interest burden causes the next collapse will be comparably lower than before. I believe a break of $1,350 for Gold will signal an imminent quick move to the $1,500 level. Lets see how we go .. I have September'ish as the critical juncture | 11_percent
26/5/2018 20:32 | In 2017, if it wasn't for share buy backs, S&P 500 earnings would have declined by 17%. Trump by rolling back Dodd-Franks means the banks can release $120bln of capital which will shore up the S&P 500 for the next few months or so. Well played, Goldman Sachs! There will be even less competition after this next recession given this extra rope to hang small community banks in the next financial crash. One way you know to confirm this is late-cycle, there has been an explosion in mergers and acquisitions this year. | loganair
26/5/2018 17:01 | If you notice that the cey share price and hgm share price have been moving in sync for a while, I hold both and have been trading both, I got my hgm divi, reduced holding when it reached 159-160, and similarly after my divi from cey in April I reduced my holding at 163-164, and waited for the drop but it didn't happen for a while, I thought I had it wrong, left to add to my gvc before the trading update. I was surprised by the exaggerated drop yesterday looking to add in the coming week, I won't be adding a significant amount before the US Non-farm payroll (end of next week as well as the US rate hike at the FOMC end on 13th June). At these to coming events gold price seems to be very volatile. These are Macro events which will impact cey share price and hgm sp, until company specific information comes through in July through to Sept, when I expect divi announcements for the first half of 2018. In the case of gvc I may add depending on how the shorts play the game before gvc's 2nd qtr update in July. | shayadfn
25/5/2018 15:42 | Just bought some CEY in SIPP and ISA- so low price and for long term, used HGM divi. Main investment cash will do something else. SR- massive game tomorrow, I'm very nervous but fingers crossed! | stevedaytrader
