08/6/2020 13:04 | Too many big moves, too much going on - can't keep up ha. Trying to focus on the undervalued and laggards. This has popped its head over £1. | sphere25
05/6/2020 09:21 | Getting close to breaking 100p. Almost there. | kev0856153
04/6/2020 08:34 | I think you might see some further decent volume later as Invesco get cleared out. | tiltonboy
03/6/2020 16:47 | Historic levels. I can only see once where volume has exceeded this. It's monumental compared to daily volume and something that (in light of the stock movements, particularly relative to the wider market) is clearly needed to give the stock a chance to rally. It'll be interesting to see who is buying because that could add impetus (as per BLND recently) to the stock. I just wonder if it's Invesco selling again and holding the stock back. Nonetheless, investors coming in to buy such large amounts is a signal of confidence. It doesn't mean the stock is a guaranteed 17 bagger. It might fart around in this range for abit as the exchanges complete. Hopefully then clears the £1 mark and narrows the discount in line with the bullish news today and some of the incredibly bullish moves out there. | sphere25
03/6/2020 15:56 | Historic volume. Is this a record? | kev0856153
03/6/2020 15:55 | Why is there no indication of the value of this land sale? 5 million shares at 94.5p gone through. | kev0856153
03/6/2020 15:19 | Nibbled a few. Far too much interest to ignore now. Absolutely enormous volume for this stock - historic levels. Buyers are coming in for large amounts of stock to clear the sellers who have dragged the stock down to these levels. There have been numerous examples of these of late and the stocks usually make progress. Then again, it's almost impossible to not make progress in this bullish market. (Cue a stale stock and market crash! Ha) | sphere25
03/6/2020 14:15 | Yes, can only guess but looks like a buyer is helping a seller to offload a decent chunk. If it's a buyer of note, that could be very positive. Right now, hard to know. It certainly strikes me as appealing to an investor prepared to take a long term view on it and that would explain the discount too. | sirrux
03/6/2020 14:08 | The mathematics is interesting, 18,000 acres with the market cap per acre being about 16k but they are selling very small portions of that a go in multi-million pound deals. The latest deal for 15, was I assume another good deal or why mention it being such a small proportion of the total number of acres? As the building is done and towns develop, it's likely that the acres on the edges will grow in value too unless of course there's some sort of calamity - nuclear war, viruses etc. Let's see, but the business model could be a winner if managed well. | sirrux
03/6/2020 14:00 | Ok those two 5m buys at 94.5p count as a bigger chunks ha Let's sit up and and take note | sphere25
03/6/2020 13:18 | A couple of chunky half a million buys just gone through. This is another stock noted today like UAI that is lagging the market and carries what appears to be an excessive discount to book. Both just stuck in a range but now showing bigger buying interest so keeping an eye open for breakouts. Really need to see some bigger chunks go through here (in light of the shares in issue) and a break of £1 but following the market and the noteworthy buying rather than being smart enough to know what the right discount to book is. | sphere25
03/6/2020 11:16 | Ah, I see they are still listed as being in the mining sector (at least on this site), perhaps that's partly the issue? Right business, wrong sector. Doubt if it's that simple, but sort of fits. Perhaps, mining to land development has not really caught on yet as a trend but we've had an interesting potential catalyst for that just recently. Either way they keep doing deals, so that's good early sign at least. | sirrux
03/6/2020 08:20 | What's the issue here? With all the land they've got and the "new" need for social spacing what more could you want? The market cap is small, so off the radar for most institutions but with the right management (and judging by how much they pay the existing management) this should be targeting a market cap to put it into the mid-sized category at least. | sirrux
02/6/2020 14:35 | Cancellation of near worthless dividend without a cut in salaries. No dividend and no growth no interest | dekle

02/6/2020 13:54 | Very odd that this is still at March, market crash lows! Nothing wrong with last months trading update so NAV still north of £1.50? All house building sites are back up and running. | loafofbread
02/6/2020 13:51 | Gone pretty quiet here as HWG fails to join the wider rally. Do they now represent value at 92p, even though house prices are falling across the UK? Views anyone... | skyship
30/4/2020 13:54 | Pretty impressive on the RNS front. He only bought them this morning! | loafofbread
30/4/2020 07:45 | Decent update today. NAV £1.55 so a good chance to buy a few for the long term. | loafofbread
25/4/2020 07:59 | HWG: NAV £463m: Mk Cap £293m: CEO £878k INL: NAV £233m: Mk Cap £103m: CEO £630k (15 month reporting period) Even if the man at HWG looks slightly better value,so what? They will all have their balls in a vice this year. Mind you I would I would much rather be running HWG with it's deep freezable and un indebted land bank. | mushypeas
24/4/2020 11:05 | For a 300+m cap company it doesn't seem too wild. Any comparisons to get a better idea on what these bosses expect to earn, and what is indeed excessive? | purplepelmets
24/4/2020 09:41 | CEO Owen Michaelson had a 2018 Basic of £308k; but add in bonuses/benefits and his remuneration actually totals £878k. Seems rather excesive IMO. | skyship
20/4/2020 13:38 | Do you have details of the package the directors are receiving? Are they being especially well renumerated compared to similar companies? | riverman77 |
