08/10/2020 15:37 | The trading volume was over 50 million shares today. That's absolutely massive and must be a record. This is very very oversold and I think now it will make up lost ground. Buckle up. | hedge fund harry
06/10/2020 07:34 | Agree, looks good value here | irishmatt
06/10/2020 07:00 | Decent set of results. NAV £1.50. Nothing wrong here apart from the SP! | loafofbread
29/9/2020 13:14 | If you check the annual report and the relevant RNSs you will see that Peel have sold down their shareholding - presumably they have had more pressing problems elsewhere. Roditi, arguably one of the UK's most successful private investors has simultaneously built up his family stake from 3% 18 months ago. | mushypeas
29/9/2020 11:50 | remember peel own 29% and have done for 10 years plus and have a man on the board. | finkie
18/9/2020 17:10 | Looking at it fairly casually, the Roditi vehicle London Amsterdam and Trust Co has been building up a stake (c 22%). Roditi had some success with Ocado I believe. My guess is that HWG will be taken out at some point. Right now to the market, it has the appearance of a plodder when they should really be looking at getting to a 1bn+ market cap with a bit of imagination on what to do with 18,000 acres of potential land for development. There's got to be some billionaires interested in that. Having said that, maybe there are issues we don't know about. | sirrux
15/9/2020 11:46 | Just seen the share price not checked in for a while very poor! Not sure why they have lost ground here into sheds which are buoyant and strategic land turning old sites into brookside close.....buying shed income at 8-10% and improving the profile is fairly steady business too but need to see if something else occuring........ | finkie
22/7/2020 15:52 | There have been a number of broker/ institutional presentations today, but volume doesnt suggest it's turned into buying. | tiltonboy
22/7/2020 14:10 | Stock testing resistance. Lumpy this one with a widespread but stock has shifted 11% higher at 108. Shifted on nothing volume mind so have to wait and see if this move does reflect all participants. Market closing edit: Rogue move. Stock closes up 5% at 102.5 and continues rangebound. | sphere25
13/7/2020 13:40 | More whopping big trades hitting the book now EDIT 14/07: Holding RNS out to explain the trades: Rovida up their stake from 18.0% to 21.1% whilst Pelham reduce from 8.55% to 2.48% Possibly Pelham a big part in holding the stock back | sphere25
13/7/2020 12:40 | Yes, some very interesting exchanges but it's more of the same here and reminiscent of the wider market in alot of the stocks really: ---> Flatline City | sphere25
10/7/2020 17:42 | 49 million shares traded today Several 10 million blocks | hedge fund harry
11/6/2020 12:52 | Encouraging director buy. Stock is holding up well in light of the plunges out there. The value here has been highlighted recently by both the press and trading volumes so hopefully one to outperform (along with other such value plays) even with a more extended sell of period. Clearly impossible to call how market participants actually react, emotions are a very fragile thing. Plan for all outcomes! | sphere25
11/6/2020 04:42 | Director dealings: Harworth chair ups stake in property developer Harworth Group revealed on Wednesday that chairman Alastair Lyons had acquired 95,000 ordinary shares in the London-listed land and property development company. Lyons, who took over as chair back in May 2018, purchased the shares at an average price of 104.70p each, for a total value of £99,465. Back in October, Harworth entered into a joint venture to pursue a strategic land opportunity in the Midlands as it continued to grow its long-term land pipeline for new residential and commercial development. Harworth said it had entered into a 50-50 joint venture with Hallam Land Management - part of Henry Boot - with a view to promoting and developing a mixed-use strategic land opportunity in the Midlands. As of 1630 BST, Harworth shares were down 3.23% at 105p. Top Director Buys Harworth Group (HWG) Director name: Lyons CBE,Alastair Amount purchased: 95,000 @ 104.70p Value: £99,465.00 | 32campomar
10/6/2020 14:21 | Will Segro target HWG? | dekle
10/6/2020 11:43 | Nice director buy yesterday 95000 shares at 105 | 32campomar
09/6/2020 08:33 | The power of the questor column! | 32campomar
09/6/2020 07:42 | I agree about the wider market being overbought, but there are a lot of stocks like HWG that have not joined in due to the presence of Invesco or L & G on their share register, and once cleared, they can recover. There was huge turnover in TPG on Friday, as the seller(s) got cleared, and they are up 30% since, although that was possibly due to a decent announcement yesterday. I'm sure we have all got stocks that are in the same boat. | tiltonboy
09/6/2020 07:28 | Thanks Solarno. Smelled of a tip, streams of buying like that always standout. Not a subscriber to Questor, but know they have a great deal of influence so hopefully a good write up. The tip appears to have come just in time as the big seller here has cleared allowing the stock to makr progress away from the early and mid 90's. The wider market is grossly overbought too so I suspect value stocks like this (and others that haven't joined the party yet) will be alot firmer and outperform when the exuberant overbought conditions correct themselves. | sphere25
09/6/2020 07:23 | Hence the rise Sphere | solarno lopez
09/6/2020 07:22 | any chance of a C&P it's behind a paywall? | purplepelmets
09/6/2020 07:20 | Tipped in Questor who described them as AIM- listed.... | tiltonboy
09/6/2020 07:17 | which would be long overdue. Closing over 100p should have a similar effect as a shaken champers bottle after being corked. | purplepelmets
09/6/2020 07:05 | Barrage of early buying. Threatening a significant breakout. | sphere25 |
