I note Harvest have updated the date on their website significant shareholders list.
Apart from the date nothing else has changed.
Was 30th June 2022, now 30th Jan 2024.
Exciting times!

Hard to believe anything this company does, or says!

But why update now?

A labour court ruling on an incident I highlighted last year regarding a Triunfo employee involved in an accident at the maximus site was posted on JusBrail yesterday.

Extract from that ruling where the defendant is Triunfo (Harvest):

'It was proven by forensics that the location was not marked and properly blocked. Added to this are the facts that the defendant covered the hole with shade, which is unacceptable, as well as that the coverings were made of wood, a material known to be quite fragile, certainly used to save the cost of the operation.

Despite the objections presented by the parties, no technical evidence appeared in the file capable of refuting the conclusions of the expert, who has technical knowledge on the subject (occupational safety engineering).

Therefore, I accept the report in full and declare the defendant guilty of non-compliance with safety measures, in the form of the expert's work, without blame that can be attributed to the complainant.

Based on the above, I consider the work accident characterized, with an undisputed causal link between the complainant's work for the defendant and the accident, which is why I proceed to identify the damages, as the duty to compensate is crystal clear.'
