29/3/2005 11:44 | YRK looking to be a good buy after the recent pull back with the big boys buying in at over £2 The latest announcement with regard to YP002.This is a very exciting development and means that York could soon have a diagnostic product available(say a small strip) which could determine whether a newborn may or may not have a predisposition to skin disease during its lifetime. The individual could then be monitored accordingly ie perhaps a predisposition to skin melenoma ,psoriasis, contact dermatitis etc.I have over 30 years in the Pharmaceutical industry and in my opinion this diagnostic could be a major breakthrough in skin disease prevention and treatment. | sparky333
29/3/2005 11:43 | Nat 007, Its the oriental area where their big sales are aimed at! can only expect that it will be GOOD news, why else hold one? | jethr0
29/3/2005 11:15 | Anyone speculate what this press conference would be about? Seems a long way to go for a chat with the press, without any meaningful purpose. | nat007
29/3/2005 09:07 | HRD are hosting a Press conference in Japan on 4th April, imho i'm expecting speculative buys before/after then, think this will be good news, its about time there was some, i'm carrying big loss at present! | jethr0
29/3/2005 08:24 | Nice to see HRD bounce back. Would only take a small purchase to bring Teathers into line. We do need some news though to keep momentum up... Anyone heard anything? | nat007
23/3/2005 08:30 | Little spot on Working Lunch again yesterday seems to have helped. Seems that all recent sells have been soaked up, not many shares out there, any news should move HRD forward fairly quickly. Would be nice if Jenson had gone to Williams though!!!! Threw his toys out of his pram at the weekend!! Can´t understand why Teathers are so far out of the market, they can´t be holding that many shares.... | nat007
23/3/2005 08:10 | 47k traded and up this morn at 810am | jethr0
22/3/2005 18:54 | Not just that Nat. You also get good old Jenson Button, our true Brit racer, wearing the stuff. Once they have their perfume brand out - anyone know when it launches? - and old Jenson swanning around in their clothes, then this brand is definitely on the way back up. I'm for topping up too. | pillbox
22/3/2005 10:39 | Over valued.... please... at 3.5p this company is valued at 3M GBP... Here is what you get for that. A brand that genrates 1M GBP per annum in revenue, just for licensing its name. A company that has the potential to license its name in many other sectors. A revolving lease on the most prestigious address in Saville Row. A 45 year history and brand penetration throughout the most actively growing economy in the World, China. Overvalued.... er make your mind up.. personally I am topping up... | nat007
21/3/2005 10:27 | IMHO the mm's have shoved the price down in the hope of picking up more, so they can sell out again after the next news release (APR4th Japan) trying to affect the brown trouser brigade! lol Note, no actual trades on the board today as yet! | jethr0
21/3/2005 10:23 | Temporary blip - come back again in six months time. | snookered4
21/3/2005 10:07 | Market doesnt agree with you by the look of it | pictureframe

21/3/2005 09:58 | pictureframe - 21 Jan'05 - 08:58 - 11 of 39 edit Looking at the last 3 years of accounts this looks way over priced. HHMMMMMMMMMMM Still overpriced ! | pictureframe
15/3/2005 13:45 | Apparently a press conference on 4th of April in Japan is being called by HRD. News in Japan.. Hope so.. | nat007
10/3/2005 12:40 | Thanks for that Nat007 - I am confident that Timothy Maltin is the man to turn around the fortunes of this company. I think as soon as we start seeing a visible presence on the High Street of the HA brand, city interest may be stirred and hopefully the shareprice will move north accordingly. In the meantime, I'll be including my EIS claim on my 2005 Tax Return!! ;-) | snookered4
09/3/2005 11:40 | Does anyone get The Mayfair Times? Apparently front page cover on Hardy Amies today and an article on the company. Not BBC1 prime time, but its a start!!!!! | nat007
07/3/2005 11:36 | Snookered My understanding is that Mr Maltin has been working on the business frantically since the finance raising. With London fashion week just over and the Stuncroft suits coming on line in the spring/summer collection it would make sense that the company would be able to do a deal with at least one store for the sale of suits to retail. As stuncroft sell 300,000 suits in the UK per annum it would not be beyond the realms of possibility to assume that Stuncroft would be working with HRD to get Hardy suits in the shops. Clearly news like this, although not ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination, would signal to holders and potential holders that the business has a potentially lucrative future. If MPH can do it, and they don´t own the brands, then HRD should be able to replicate this success. Look at the numbers: 750K GBP in durable revenues (guaranteed minimums) 750K GBP (min and guarantedd over the next 3 years from Stuncroft) Losses for year end this year will be about 350k, I would think (based on interims of 200k). 750k approx, running costs. If no more deals were done (which IMHO is very unlikely) then the company would be making 250K per annum from 2006. Thats if no deals are done.. I also see the challenges they have, but with other brands now becoming a bit chavy, it would be a good time to place a brand in the market that carries HRD´s background. Just my 2 penneth worth, please do your own research.. Cheers | nat007
04/3/2005 19:18 | snookered4, i'm same as you in for the long term and it looks like it will be. lol, as Dontrader i bought in a few years ago on a promise of good things to come! promises like pie crusts etc! tempted to top up but the old saying "dont throw good money after bad" rings in my ears! | jethr0
04/3/2005 16:20 | Do ou expect a positive announcement then Nat007? | snookered4
04/3/2005 15:48 | snookered Keep an eye out for the newspapers in the next few weeks. | nat007
04/3/2005 14:17 | Just a few people selling - the MMs don't want the stock for whatever reason so reduce the price. I'm long on 300,000 of these and am hopeful of better times in a few years! ;-) | snookered4
04/3/2005 12:37 | whooooops !! | currypasty
03/3/2005 17:08 | pill - Are you still in EICOM? | learningmytrade
03/3/2005 15:38 | Nice post Pillbox. I too am in HRD and agree with your sentiments. Also I think that the lack of news tells a story in itself, which others are interpretting as bad. Basically, having just raised the money and having just been involved in London fashion week, I reckon that we are set for some news on Hardy. When they announced the deal with the Chinese the price moved to 25p and in reality it was unlikely that the company could role out any significant numbers in China in such a short time. Now that the balance sheet is OK and Tim Maltin can concentrate on managing the business and getting deals, rather than worrying about finances, I think we will see a more high profile Hardy, which will be reflected in the share price There have been some articles in high fashion mags I believe (which I will post when I find them), and I should imagine there will be some advertising and editorials coming up. This, IMHO, will move the price becuase of punters getting in on the band waggon, but will also let potential licensees see that the brand is back. Just put a search in the engines for "Hardy Amies London" and see how many Asian sites come up. It is a big brand over there and when the Chinese element kicks in I am sure we will see some great numbers. Just a thought... why is MPH worth 25M when they don´t own the brands? Same basic story, same basic shares in issue, new CEO in 2002. Just something to think about... Will be topping up all the way down if it happens. Good luck.... | nat007 |
