Cash,
They made it clear they haven't sold them, they have distributed them to others who will likely sell.
This change reflects a distribution of EIG's shareholding in Harbour to certain of its underlying investors, rather than a sale of shares.
Good luck.

The other good thing about today`s announcement is that if the drop in share price was for operational reasons they would have had to report that today. imho dyor

I mean, If they are down from 37% to 16% how can that signify that the selling is just beginning? Give it over.

Now to me, as someone who’s invested here for the medium to longer term, I read today’s RNS announcement as the EIG selling is now over, and I’m glad that the markets have understood it as exactly same.

Would they have swapped them at lower prices for tax purposes?

Today's announcement means a chunk of the shares have been distributed from the original entities I would imagine for bonuses as we saw last week with Cookie. The selling is far from done, I would say it is only just beginning.
Good luck.

I actually read this mornings RNS update as extremely positive and that the EIG selloff is now finally done and dusted/over which is great news for HBR private investors.

This morning's announcement.

Now they will all be dribbling shares into the market. Strewth!

Actually, it is healthy to always DYOR!
Also good to note that now hopefully the EIG selling here is over (assuming based on today’s RNS), while both Brent and UK Gas prices are continuing to look pretty good (Brent trading at $104+ levels and UK Gas equivalent prices are more than double that of Brent!).

The share price record shows it is healthy to listen to all opinion. I am bullish on Harbour and look where it is. Still, looking at those tax losses and what they should be making the share price looks low. I was saying that a £1/share ago.

Nevertheless, pretty interesting that currently the non-invested are lot more active here than the actual HBR investors, and from my limited experience that’s usually a good sign/time to invest!

You tell him andy. As if any of us could deramp these shares. Another dreamer.

longtermer - HBR is an enigma. We buy in for all the reasons that appear rational to us and can't get our heads around why all those private equity folks just want out at almost any price. Why can't they see what we see - that gold at the bottom of next year's rainbow.

Longtermer,
There's no deceitful deramping nonsense on this board, it's the opposite in fact.
Are you OK with all the talk of 'this will be £6' that lures unsuspecting punters like myself in?
I believe in healthy debate with opinions formed from the information available, not the constant promises of riches based on hope that we read on these boards.
Good luck.

This is now trading at the same level it was a year ago when oil was at 60 a barrel. Doesn't make sense...Which to me means it's a great chance to accumulate. Recession or no recession, years of underinvestment in the industry as a whole have caught up with the world.

“North Sea bosses seek urgent windfall tax meeting with new Chancellor Zahawi”:

Whenever I see frequent posters here who hold absolutely Zero HBR shares, wether it be Shorters, paid/unpaid de-rampers, or those who are simply way too greedy and are still dreaming to buy in HBR at now even ridiculously cheaper prices..….R30;……230;…. , all suddenly popping up 24/7 while holding no skin in the game with both O&G production here nicely on the up this year, resulting company cash position also significantly on the up, debt rapidly disappearing with continuing $100+ Brent in place, massive tax credits available for utilising, aggressive buybacks ongoing at excellent rates, and as obvious from their constant deceitful de-ramping nonsense even at these still extreme and purely fear driven low volume artificial lowball company valuations, I then realise for sure that this share is now truly a grand bargain and going to look absolutely outstanding by year end. Hence going forward, even a hint of positives here wether on Windfall Tax from a new UK Chancellor, debt repayment updates, improved drilling results/production/new finds, share purchase completion and potential renewal, ………;.will simply drive this currently way too undervalued/oversold share price sky high, overall significant tailwinds in place for HBR to benefit from going forward from these ultra ultra low valuations, all IMHO, DYOR.

Dandi,

Yes I did, I'm in for the much promised but long awaited six quid!

On a lighter note you were hoping I would be wrong, well I was buying this at 312p.

The RNS for the buyback today probably cost more than the brokers spent buying shares, it's good to see they are doing all they can to support the price.

I might have to get in touch with this Tina lady in Sri Lanka for a bit of advice!

Good luck.

Well said. Tend to agree that this, and other oil companies, are vastly undervalued. This is a time to do as Warren Buffett would do.... Just accumulate and wait for the value to be recognised.
