21/5/2018 07:12 | CM Agree, as was the time after ezj joined the ftse100. dyor | srpactive
20/5/2018 21:34 | Hands up here anyone who even knew of the existence of Stadium until today? Not me certainly. As long as GVC isn't taken out by a low takeover losing us shareholeders most of the potential here, I think the next 5+ years could be more exciting than the last... | cheshiremoggie
20/5/2018 09:48 | Sunday TelegraphBritain's bookies set for US touchdownLadbrokes Coral's US business Stadium has been described by some as a "hidden gem" for GVC, which bought its rival earlier this year.Stadium holds 16 of the 20 business-to-business contracts in Nevada with various companies such as casino owner Caesars and has a 10-year track record there.Although GVC's boss Kenny Alexander is known as a shrewd dealmaker, there's no suggestion ?just yet that he'll be quickly jumping across the pond waving his chequebook."There's a danger you could rush into the wrong deal with the wrong partner," says Nick Batram, head of investor relations at GVC. | coxsmn
18/5/2018 18:51 | Gvc rewards all that trust in Kenny and continue to own the stock. | coxsmn
18/5/2018 10:09 | M The fall should not have happened so we have only really moved from the 940p level after US unexpected news to 968p after the expected UK news, imho, dyor active. | srpactive
18/5/2018 10:01 | mylands - It is typical herd mentality, a way for the mm's to make some handsome money and also the 'Sell on the News.' On balance I would say the news yesterday was good for GVC. | loganair
18/5/2018 09:39 | Can't get to grips with this amazing rise from yesterday's opening fall to 855p. From that low, we are now up by 112p, a rise of 13% in one day. Add in the 15p div we received just two weeks ago and we are close to the all-time highs. | mylands
18/5/2018 07:15 | TEB Morning, yes agree, the timing of this with the US opening is interesting to say the least. Consolidation as I said yesterday can now be gauged as all important factors are known and clear. dyor active | srpactive
17/5/2018 19:49 | The removal of FOBT uncertainty also helps strangely.TOs can kick off with everything open and transparent.GVC just clever not to wait and scale the purchase price accordinglyUsual players and US big boys will not get in on the action imo | trentendboy
17/5/2018 18:21 | Logan, Agreed. As posted before i am extremely positive here and with US sports betting opening up, lads deal completed, World cup ahead, the scene is being set for a very exciting next chapter. | coxsmn
17/5/2018 17:59 | Quite a deal for GVC. I was a lcl holder but rolled everything into GVC. And who knows what will happen in 2020! w1 | woozle1
17/5/2018 17:49 | mn - You know what the press is like, just wants a good story which even though often not true like the herd, most people tend to follow rather than using their own intelligence and reasoning. GVC now have 2 years of full profit from FBOT's being at £100 while paying nothing extra to the Lads shareholders under the CVR scheme. | loganair
17/5/2018 17:09 | Wow, fun day in the market. Logan, think you got your analysis spot on. Was tempted to top up this morning, but recovered so quickly I did not pull the trigger. Looking forward to 25th May. GLA | mnomis
17/5/2018 16:53 | even higher | t 34
17/5/2018 16:49 | With the US gambling market about to open GVC as a stand a lone company their share price will slowly rise to well in excess of 1200p to 1250p. I can easily see GVC at 1500p with in 2 years. | loganair
17/5/2018 16:19 | 1200p would be a 25% premium to the current price. | joeywald
17/5/2018 16:15 | 1200p is the price target from Berenberg , so of course that more . | t 34
17/5/2018 16:15 | TEB That would only be about a 15% premium. I would think/hope they would need to offer a lot more than that! | joeywald
17/5/2018 16:14 | TEB Yes agree, but the bidding I would have thought could be nearer 1250p myself, dyor. | srpactive
17/5/2018 16:10 | They probably have deep enough wallets but it would be highly leveraged. What are their market caps I wonder. It would make sense to them - at a stroke they get a whole sportbetting setup that has a global reach. I can see this being taken out for £11 - might even be a bargain for them If US big boys are serious then GVC is an obvious target - be a shame in many respects | trentendboy
17/5/2018 16:05 | Today's Times in the article covered PPB starting from the third paragraph says that there is a chance of bidding by US company ( MGM , Caesars Entertainment ) . | t 34
17/5/2018 15:30 | The 2020 date for FOBT would be a major result | trentendboy
17/5/2018 14:43 | I think closing shorts are part of it - they read it wrong. Time element to this is crucial if there is a 2 year lag to implementation | trentendboy
17/5/2018 13:31 | Some volume today, over 12 million! I wonder how many shorters got their timing right to close down their positions on the fall first thing this morning, or were they greedy thinking it would fall further? | mylands |
