As long as GVC isn't taken out by a low takeover losing us shareholeders most of the potential here, I think the next 5+ years could be more exciting than the last...

The fall should not have happened so we have
only really moved from the 940p level
after US unexpected news to 968p after the

mylands - It is typical herd mentality, a way for the mm's to make some handsome money and also the 'Sell on the News.'

On balance I would say the news yesterday was good for GVC.

Can't get to grips with this amazing rise from yesterday's opening fall to 855p.

From that low, we are now up by 112p, a rise of 13% in one day. Add in the 15p div we received just two weeks ago and we are close to the all-time highs.

Morning, yes agree, the timing of this with the
US opening is interesting to say the least.

Consolidation as I said yesterday can now be gauged
as all important factors are known and clear.

The removal of FOBT uncertainty also helps strangely.TOs can kick off with everything open and transparent.GVC just clever not to wait and scale the purchase price accordinglyUsual players and US big boys will not get in on the action imo

Logan, Agreed. As posted before i am extremely positive here and with US sports betting opening up, lads deal completed, World cup ahead, the scene is being set for a very exciting next chapter.

Quite a deal for GVC. I was a lcl holder but rolled everything into GVC. And who knows what will happen in 2020!

mn - You know what the press is like, just wants a good story which even though often not true like the herd, most people tend to follow rather than using their own intelligence and reasoning.

GVC now have 2 years of full profit from FBOT's being at £100 while paying nothing extra to the Lads shareholders under the CVR scheme.

With the US gambling market about to open GVC as a stand a lone company their share price will slowly rise to well in excess of 1200p to 1250p. I can easily see GVC at 1500p with in 2 years.

That would only be about a 15% premium. I would think/hope they would need to offer a lot more than that!

They probably have deep enough wallets but it would be highly leveraged.

What are their market caps I wonder.

It would make sense to them - at a stroke they get a whole sportbetting setup that has a global reach.

I can see this being taken out for £11 - might even be a bargain for them

If US big boys are serious then GVC is an obvious target - be a shame in many respects

Today's Times in the article covered PPB starting from the third paragraph says that there is a chance of bidding by US company ( MGM , Caesars Entertainment ) .

I think closing shorts are part of it - they read it wrong. Time element to this is crucial if there is a 2 year lag to implementation

Some volume today, over 12 million! I wonder how many shorters got their timing right to close down their positions on the fall first thing this morning, or were they greedy thinking it would fall further?
