11/10/2023 08:15 | Mow I dont want to get anyone too excited just yet but the Seabravery I mentioned earlier has now got a tug alongside it. That tug came out of the Botas terminal. Do they normally tug them in? | shortsqueezer

10/10/2023 22:50 | Strange how Vallesina is berthed just outside of the ceyhan ' inlet' for two days. A 'red herring' or waiting for the pipeline to open. Or as usually some other reason! | petebreeze37
10/10/2023 22:39 | APIKUR should give them a time limit on starting proceedings. Enough is enough. | nestoframpers
10/10/2023 21:39 | Bigdog - "Baghdad/Somo hold all the cards and will get what they want...." As I said earlier:- "The pipeline will stay empty and Turkey will get no discounted oil or transit fees. Iraq will continue to lose $1 billion a month. Iraqi farmers will have to sell their land and livestock and schools will continue to have no drinking water. Until GKP and APIKUR say otherwise. Because of their own arrogance and stupidity the ICG are having to learn the hard way what an internationally recognised legally binding contract is." And even now, along with certain boneheads in the Iraqi parliament, Sarah still doesn't understand "what an internationally recognised legally binding contract is." | habshan
10/10/2023 20:06 | It's hard to see how the ICG can get out of the mess they've created. We remember all too well how back in May the budget was cobbled together and then railroaded into law by parliament against the wishes of the Kurds who kept telling them that it wouldn't work. That budget bore absolutely no relation to the commercial and contractual realities on the ground which weren't even considered. They thought they could just bully the Kurds and the IOCs into accepting their uninformed and ill thought out nonsense. It demanded that in return for 12.6% of the budget the Kurds had to give SOMO 400kbpd. The Kurds don't have and never have had 400kbpd that they could give SOMO, the Kurds only have entitlement to something over half of what the IOCs can produce, as under the internationally recognised legally binding PRODUCTION SHARING contracts the remainder, or something under half, is the property of the IOCs who can contractually sell it to whoever they please. In the past it suited the IOCs to let the KRG market and sell it on their behalf but now it suits them to sell it to local refineries for $30 a barrel. So what on earth makes the ICG think they would want to sell it to SOMO for $6 when they can get 5 times that much in the local market, and then watch SOMO sell it into the international market for $90. It's totally ridiculous and the ICG know it but it means that they'll have to revisit the budget law. What to do, there'll be a lot of head scratching going on that's for sure but according to APIKUR "there are solutions". | habshan
10/10/2023 20:03 | I don't support Israel. I don't support the recent attack on civilians but I do not support the Israeli government. Take a look back at the crimes they have committed and plan to commit. The UN calls it genocide... who would support that? | buyingacastle1
10/10/2023 19:55 | On a similar note.... open the pipeline... make some money and redistribute some of the proceeds to the local population... everyone can be a winner with the right attitude. | buyingacastle1
10/10/2023 19:53 | 🇵🇸 "Who do you think you are? You have not been elected and do not have the authority to determine the foreign policy of the European Union, which is set by the European Council. Europe does NOT 'support Israel'. We are in favor of peace. Don't speak for us. If you have nothing constructive to say and, clearly, you don't, shut up," the European deputy wrote | petebreeze37
10/10/2023 19:52 | Funny that Ukraine has a right to defend itself after a foreign invasion but Palestinians do not? | justiceforthemany
10/10/2023 19:40 | I do not advocate violence. The truth has to be told that Israel pushed people to the brink. I am not defending the atrocities however if I had lived in Palestine for the past few years I would be upset. I feel the media chooses to report the awful crimes of Hammas without explaining what created such anger and violence. I for one hope for a peaceful resolution... the civilians involved have nothing to do with the politics and are entirely innocent. When will politicians learn to do what is best for the normal person on the ground???? | buyingacastle1
10/10/2023 19:33 | Bet they can’t wait till ours is flowing. Kurdistan region boosted natural gas production by 40% in the last three years: KRG official Kurdistan Natural Gas Kurdistan region boosted natural gas production by 40% in the last three years: KRG official 2023-10-10 16:47 Font Shafaq News/ Ahmed al-Mufti, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), on Tuesday said that natural gas production in the region has increased by 40% over the past three years. "Half of Iraq's natural gas is currently being produced in the Kurdistan Region," he said in his address before the "MIRI" forum earlier today. The Deputy Minister highlighted the "huge potential" in the region to further increase natural gas production. He stated that, within a short period, the Kurdistan region could produce up to 60% of Iraq's total natural gas production. Currently, the Ministry of Natural Resources is responsible for producing 50% of Iraq's total natural gas production. Al-Mufti said that over the past three years, the Kurdistan region has successfully increased its natural gas production by 40%. This increase in gas production has led to a growing demand for electricity, resulting in the region's electricity production being comparatively better than in other areas of Iraq. | beernut1
