Turkey restarts Iraqi oil pipeline operations! 🇹🇷🛢️470;🇶

Turkey's Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar (pictured) announced on Thursday during a live broadcast on Bursada Bugun TV channel that the oil pipeline connecting Iraq and Turkey, which facilitates the transmission of 500,000 barrels per day to global markets, restarted operations after a six-month suspension.

"We have done what is required at international standards. What we announced in Abu Dhabi on Monday was this: as of yesterday, the line is ready for operation," the official said.

In a statement to NTV, Bayraktar explained that there are no obstacles now in terms of shipping oil produced in northern Iraq to global markets.

The Turkish minister added that his country constitutes a dependable oil and gas transportation route.

Doggy I have to agree with many of your observations at this time, albeit that they are usually so crudely intemperate and repetitive.
Your description of Shaikan crude as worthless sludge is however inaccurate.
Shaikan oil is heavy, when refined, it elicits a high proportion of “bottom-of-the-barrel” products such as bitumen and asphalt. That means it tends to trade at a discount to lighter crudes. Sour oil such as Shaikan’s, with its high sulphur content, requires special handling, because sulphur can corrode refining and processing equipment.
So we have production processing facilities to remove the impurities and to make it suitable for transportation through the Ceyhan pipeline, as it has been, successfully, for the last 10 years.
Anyway, before any oil flows through the pipeline next week, it seems we now await Coggins’s decision, through APIKUR, on whether to accept SOMO’s terms, whatever they might be.
In the meantime please stop talking about a spike to £1.50 ps, or I might have to filter you along with all the other ramping fantasists here.

hangthedj, you miss the point just like so many of the blinkered do here.

The high quality API oil isn't the problem.

If you were to go over to see what has been posted you may "get it".

Have you suckers not seen what's been posted on other bb's as regards mixing high quality oil with sludge

-------
There was no problem with quality of oil being exported prior to shut down, so don't see any reason for that to be an issue now regardless of who's marketing it.

If the price is right it'll be loaded onto them tankers, end of story.
