Do any of the LTH remember the picture of the gusher that was taken several miles away from Shaikan when they struck oil (sorry BD5, I meant to type water..). It was in the header of one of the older threads but can't seem to find it now.

Bigdog - "h7, you and habsham accused me of making up stuff about them finding water at S12 and wanted proof. You got your proof later via an Operational update."

Now then Sarah, this is what you said about them finding water at Sh-12:-

"OWC found at S12. otherwise they would be producing from lower down. There is clear evidence that the OWC has been found hundreds of metres higher than they expected, the evidence being altering plans and not producing from the target depths but rather much higher up the well."

So how about throwing up the Operational update where they confirmed that the OWC had been found hundreds of metres higher than expected and telling us that they had to alter their plans and produce from higher up the well as a result.

The only Operational update that I can find referencing water at Sh-12 mentions perfectly normal "trace" quantities which will be addressed by the perfectly standard installation of water handling equipment, statements which are at odds with your assertion that the "OWC is hundreds of metres higher than expected".

In your own time now.

Not this time. Too much at stake for both of them. As I have said often - the Kurds will need to make serious compromises and I think they will. Probably allowing SOMO to oversee KRG Oil exports and payments.

When they do expect all hell to break loose.

IMO

I never forget Simon Murray's parting words from GKP..."I'll be back"

@JackPotJack This just makes a mockery of the sanctions that the West has imposed on Russia. Even Brandon said that sanctions don't work after he had applied them. Mind you, he doesn't know if he has COVID-19, COVID-22 1/2 or MonkeyPox at the moment ...

Probably export it to sleepy Joe Biden and charge him a premium. Now that would be ironic. USA getting Saudi Oil exports only because of Bidens sanctions on Putin.

johnbuysgkp: Jon joined gkp because of Shaikan. He has just said that it will produce "for generations"

One generation being 25 years , so it will produce for at least 50 years or longer.

The use of obfuscation is widespread in financial circles, with some practitioners of incest falsely leading shareholder action groups.

Hi bigdog,

I'm sure the sense of your postings was more "being economical with the truth" - which goes way back to the 18th Century, ascribed to Edmund Burke.
Sir Robert Armstrong, UK Cabinet Secretary, also used it in the Spycatcher trial back in 1986 (book exposing certain MI5 security details that severely embarrassed the government of the day), when he said: "...it contains a misleading impression, not a lie. It was being economical with the truth".

The use of obfuscation is widespread in financial circles - and is well-practised in Iraqi- and Kurdish governments.

...and UK gov I hasten to add.

Collins puts it rather nicely: "To deceive people by deliberately not telling them the WHOLE truth about something".

A fine distinction, obviously lost on H7/Slurryman.

If "oil investor" was even a small percentage correct in his view isn't it logical that someone would have bought the licence years ago? And for a great deal less than the current share price

He wasn't and that's why there's been very little interest. Ask yourselves why all the references to the "Kozel, JG and JS" bragged barrels disappeared under JF's tenure.

RW had form in "bigging up" companies. Hawk a prime example.

The reason the likes of ?$%Dog post 28,000 times, along with all the other sentiment inhibiting posters here and at LSE , here is because they are paid to constantly introduce , doubt and fear into retail holders new or old. This is how BlackRock etc have built such huge cheap stakes pre a Black Swan massive multiple takeover.
