This might sound like a stupid question, but does anyone know who GKP can be compared to in the US (company wise)? I think BP's equivalent is Chevron.

Be interesting to see if a payment turns up ...They got sept and Oct in one go Jan 4.....and interesting that the reference to engaging with MNR on proposal disappeared from that payment RNS , which implies a payment agreement has been reached..It appears they have settled on an agreed future payment program.What it is?

I doubt we will receive a payment before the dividend arrives.... the other operators only just got their October payments

IG pay pre market open on ex div day .Presume other spread bet forms do likewise.The ruckus previously was they didn't pay out....because gkp hadn't declared before the ex div date .....

They have to give the rate per share by at least 10 Feb as the share goes ex div on the 10th - (the RNS simply said dividend of $50m - but they may issue more shares or even cancel some - so the market requires a rate per share).

I am expecting the div to be in my spreadbet account on the Friday morning, with the dividend on held shares mailed out on 25 Feb.

There was some fuss the last time as they did not state the dividend per share till the share effectively went ex div from memory.

Rather concerning that the latest wells have all failed bearing in mind where they're located bang in the middle of the field? So the usual rhetoric of how large the field is looks to be extremely hollow I would suggest.

Then with Water found much higher than where they thought it was AND in the middle of the field does rather suggest a completely new picture of the "jewel" in the "last great frontier" innit.

As I've been telling you suckers for many years, the shaiCON field has shrunk massively in every way. The overlays of shaiCON on London, mentions of shards high, fractures and porosities and pretty pictures of Domes just cannot be taken as having any credibility in my opinion and a few others that know the score and reality.

I've just noticed that Gulf are getting the hang of this dividend payment thingy. Whilst the payment will not be made until 25/2, the Sterling amount will be crystallised much sooner. From the rns declaring it:

"The Company will disclose the pounds sterling rate per share prior to the ex-dividend date of 10 February 2022."

News again by 10/2. :-)

Maybe they're planning to use this formula regularly going forwards.

Shafaq News/ The forces of the Coordination Framework are set to hold a new round of talks to deliberate the initiative launched by the Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani to breakdown the deadlock and address the strained ties between the leader of the Sadrist movement and the consortium of Iraqi Shiite political forces opposing the October 10 election results.

The meeting comes less than a week of a decisive parliamentary session during which a president will be elected and a prime minister-designate will be appointed.

"The Coordination Framework's meeting on Monday was fruitless because the Kurdish leader's initiative was not entirely materialized back then. A sequel of the meeting was scheduled for the next day to agree upon specific terms that will form the bulk of the contract with the Sadrist movement. Once both sides sign the contract, the impasse will be broken, and a government will be formed smoothly."

"The meeting will touch upon guarantees that al-Sadr will abide by the agreement. If they were not approved, they will be annexed to the items of the Kurdish initiative. i.e. the ball will be in the court of the coalition forming the government."

"If al-Sadr refuses, the Coordination Framework forces will take the opposition side. It is a call the Coordination Framework leaders shall make," the source said.

Shafaq News/ An important meeting will be held this week in Baghdad among the Shiite, Sunni, and Kurdish forces.

"The meeting will include the leader of the Sadrist Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, or his representative, the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi al-Amiri, leaders of the Framework, the head of Takadum, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and representatives of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan." A source in the Shiite Coordination Framework told Shafaq News Agency.

"The meeting will discuss the preparations for electing the president of the republic in the next parliamentary session and choosing "the best personnel to form the next government."

For his part, the leader in the Framework, Saad Al-Saadi, revealed to our Agency the issues discussed during their meeting at the house of the leader of the "Victory" Coalition Haider Al-Abadi, last night.

Al-Saadi said that they discussed the Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani's initiative to resolve the current dispute with the leader of the Sadrist movement and unify the Shiite house.

He stressed, "We welcome any initiative that calls for unifying positions among political forces in general and Shiites in particular."

"The Framework participates with all its political forces in the next government or turns to the opposition. This decision cannot at any time be reversed."

Yesterday, the President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammad al-Halbousi, and the head of al-Siyada Coalition Khamis al-Khanjar visited the leader of the Sadrist Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, in his headquarters in al-Hanana, North of Najaf, carrying an initiative to resolve the ongoing dispute between the Sadrist and the Coordination Framework.

A source told Shafaq News Agency that the "meditators" -in reference to Barzani, al-Halbousi, and al-Khanjar- presented a "Goodwill initiative to rebuild the Shiite home."

"The partners presented a list of suggestions to address the disagreement among the Shiite rivals. However, al-Sadr was adamant about precluding the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki."

"Al-Sadr welcomed all the Shiite leaders but al-Maliki, and expressed willingness to form with them a larger coalition," the source said.

Following the meeting, the populist Shiite cleric said in a press conference that he would continue to pursue forming a national majority government.

The Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani said that he hopes the meeting at al-Hannana ends positively.
