Bit of shame really if GKP had drilled those wells better and got some better production. Could easily have got a lot higher.GKP currently dragged up kicking and screaming despite best.of managements efforts.

There clearly wont be any open market buybacks.
I do hope and believe they will have conducted an off mkt deal that will be announced near or at Sale, or bid.
They could and should ( if they were able to ) done these long since, so something has been stopping them.

Most defo AttyG. I will disappointed with less than $150m dividends and I expect a $50m buyback over the course of 2022.

New investors may well have bought in to pick up a piece of the $50m Feb dividend.

They may well sell out once the share price goes ex div, however, they will be missing a trick.

In my view, the $50m Feb payday is not the only dividend that will be distributed in 2022.

Last year we had $25m in July; $25m in August and $50m in October.
Even though GKP has some capex commitments, we can look forward to at least another $50m in dividends - I am hoping for $75m. That might be in the shape of $25m every quarter to dampen the volatility of lumpy $50m payouts.

Anyhow, more to enjoy than the one in Feb.

TAKEOVER ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT?? Perhaps.
Reason we haven't seen any buyback programme.


The company is a red hot target and has been since Dec 2016 when it became a newco.....
Bermuda registration which affords much looser regulation on stake building and buyback methodology means the M + A waters are very murky.
Friendly deal done TBA ? or competitive bids sought?
The absence of open market buyback programs tends to point to the former.
