19/12/2021 15:42 | ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The two leading parties in the Kurdistan Region met on Sunday to discuss Iraq's post-election negotiations aiming to form the next government. A high-level delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) visited the city of Sulaimani, where members were received by Co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Bafel Talabani and other top party officials, according to a statement released afterward. The two sides agreed on the importance of Kurdish unity when facing critical issues in Baghdad, according to a joint statement released after the meeting. The party officials discussed “articulating a joint Kurdistani agenda based on true partnership, consensus, and constitutional balance,” similar, the statement said, to the principles on which Iraq’s post-2003 was established. The KDP and PUK are the main components of the current Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) along with Goran (Change) Movement. A high-level KDP delegation visits the leadership of the PUK in Sulaimani to discuss Iraqi post-election government formation, the Iraqi presidency, Kurdish unity, and Kirkuk governorship, sources told Kurdistan 24. pic.twitter.com/5zg5 — Kurdistan 24 English (@K24English) December 19, 2021 It continued, explaining that the two parties “agreed” to back KRG efforts in order to resolve issues, including public employees’ salaries, addressing students protesters’ demands, and the remerging threat of ISIS, particularly in Iraq's disputed territories. Following the Oct. 10 parliamentary elections in Iraq and the announcement of its results, several Iraqi and Kurdish parties have been actively negotiating with one another, attempting to maximize their political clout in the next administration. | nestoframpers

19/12/2021 13:31 | Remember all. No one knew of Shell's huge takeover of BG until the day of announcement. | ![]() eddie47
19/12/2021 13:11 | Highlander7, I don't know that there is no takeover but when the probability of one, in the short term, is low, you don't invest for that reason. Lovely if it happens. Sure, after the event, everyone thinks "well, it was bleeding obvious". Beforehand, it isn't. If there are 3,000 listed companies (including AIM) and there are 50 takeovers a year, the probability of your company getting a takeover in any particular year is low. We have had two offers in 10 years, and both came to nothing. You have to be mad to think you can predict the timing of a takeover, at least from our distance, as mere private investors. Different for our BoD or for people who work for the MNR. | ![]() nobull
19/12/2021 12:55 | So how exactly do you all know there is no takeover ? They certainly wouldnt tell that to idiots like you lot. LOL | ![]() highlander7

Wasn't producing 55k a day early 2021 a slam dunk highlander7? Wasn't S12 producing from the lower zone a slam dunk highlander7? Wasn't S13 a slam dunk highlander7. 19/12/2021 11:50 | Yes it's true the % numbers voting have reduced from 61 to 48% in past 3 years. The balance of around 40% ISC (issued share capital) that sits outside top 10 is large 60% in top 10 40% outside in holdings of less than 2.6% and much smallerAny acquirer would have been stake building for years and they will hold some of this I'd expect a hostile bid shortly | herbert_smith_freehills
19/12/2021 11:45 | There won't be any hostile. What do you think the hosts would do if said hostile wasn't to their liking and it didn't suit them? Its their oil, they make the rules. More proof recently is the hosts action against Genel and don't think for one nano second they couldn't do that with shaiCON. The company havn't performed. No one has been accumulating over 3/5/7 years. PW, lol. The company doesn't have "massive, already discovered,reserves/ You're all deluding yourselves about what you believe they have, its a very small fraction of what Kozel paid himself on. It will go for a pittance when the time comes and the hosts will dictate everything. | ![]() bigdog5 |
