17/12/2021 19:09 | Always thought the sale would be friendly, and directly linked to the FDP.Now it's very clear they are driving a hostile auction. So a first bid is very likely anytime, particularly if they launch a buyback in mkt, or buyers believe they are about too.Boom. | herbert_smith_freehills
17/12/2021 19:09 | Lot of interesting stuff in that RNS , but it all points to stakeholders with divergent opinions. They state the BOD face a FINAL iINVESTMENT DECISION (FID), which is really a STRATEGIC choice between continuing as an independent, and financing the future through debt.Or sell up to the highest bidder now.We will see bids shortly imo. | herbert_smith_freehills

17/12/2021 19:07 | The FDP is a plan for the future so I dont quite see your point. Drilling is always into the unknown because logs and surveys can only tell you so much. So all typical so far as I can see. Sounds like they have done a good job with the challenges. Trolls will tell you differently of course . Well they would wouldnt they ? LOL | ![]() highlander7
17/12/2021 19:02 | Do we honestly think that the KRG are going to approve the FDP when GKP can’t even hit a few thousand BOPD with SH13 and SH14 LOL | goatcam

17/12/2021 18:06 | Could the hosts kick out the FDP AND revoke the licence due to "non perforamance"? Could they view all the failures of the past years and decide that "leaving it to the experts" hasn't worked? Would they prefer better experts? Laters clueless schmucks. | ![]() bigdog5

17/12/2021 17:38 | The KRG refused to accept Genel’s FDP on Miran and unilaterally terminated the licence (now subject of a presumably long running litigation saga). The oil minister Atroshi seems determined to make a name for himself at the expense of the IOCs. But he’s highly educated and knows the IOCs must (for now at least) be tolerated. He sees Kurd gas flaring as a waste of the country’s resources and knows he’s on the right side of international opinion when he makes it a carbon issue. So we’ll wait for news on the FDP and with some trepidation on it’s costs. Anyway, today’s news on 55k production delay was a disappointment, although as others here have pointed out, the signs were obvious. September payment delay shows further slippage of the latest agreement and “It’s all about the payments” remains the fundamental mantra, as it has done here for so long. On a more positive note the company is presently highly cash generative and long term holders like myself have been well rewarded this year. | ![]() klassic
