Digby,

Firstly the statement about SH9 has been proven to be wrong by the drill bit itself.

Secondly SH12 being off is because of problems with the reservoir and the pump.

SH12 is only expected to maintain production of 4K a day at the moment.

Ask the company for the production rates and choke sizes plus pressure data from each well ???

If there is nothing to worry about and everything is great and wonderful it shouldn't be a problem for them ???

I know for a fact that they won't give you that because it will tell a different story.

If there any other areas of the company you would like me to discuss let me know.

Bigdog - "The field is losing pressure (probably at a greater rate than they hoped for)"

Another statement of the bleeding obvious. OF COURSE the field's losing pressure. How on earth can you extract fluid from a pressurised container without the pressure dropping. It's one of the most basic laws of physics and is called Boyle's Law. It's what oilfields do Bigdog.

And "PROBABLY" Bigdog, what the hell is "PROBABLY." Idiot.

There is not a shred of evidence to suggest that the field is behaving in any way different to any other oilfield anywhere in the world and the pressure decline is totally consistent with expectations and the computer models.

"Production has clearly fallen from five years ago which suggests wells are failing."

More evidence that you haven't a clue how these things work Bigdog.

OF COURSE production is down. The company is in the middle of a programme to expand and upgrade facilities and maintain wells that haven't seen any maintenance since they were drilled ten years ago.

Wells that need maintaining aren't failing Bigdog, they just need maintenance workovers and new tubing, they get clogged up with crud. Surely even YOU can understand that.

And you've already been told why at the time of suspension production was at 36kbpd.

"The remaining debottlenecking activities, including installation of the pumps, coolers and separation vessels were mostly completed in early 2020, however some remaining work and commissioning was outstanding. The Sh-12 well was perforated in the deeper Butmah reservoir to test the response from that zone, and the main SAM reservoir remains to be perforated. The deferral of that activity is the main reason production rates from the field are reduced, with current production at c.36,000 bopd."

You aren't able to get your head round any of this are you Bigdog.

23rd April - "The field continues to perform in line with expectations and at the time of suspension, we were on track to deliver 55,000 bopd in Q3 2020."

If you can't say anything sensible Bigdog, best to say nothing.

Agree Thick TonyI expect news of Sale at or soon after AGM, once they have formal approval voted through for the updated share option vesting and adjustment conditions, after the sale by amalgamation, in the LTIP AGM Resolution.

For BigDog

"The 2019 drilling programme started later than planned due to necessary re‐certification work on the drilling rig to meet Gulf Keystone’s safety standards. Despite the delayed start, we
saw improvements in operating efficiencies through the year.
In November 2019, we completed the drilling of SH‐12 and brought the well onstream with an electrical submersible pump (“ESP”). This well was perforated in the deeper Butmah reservoir to test the response from that zone, and the main SAM reservoir remains to be perforated. The deferral of that activity is the main reason production rates from the field are reduced, with current production at c.36,000 bopd."..

AND
..."Since 31 December 2016, the field has produced 37 MMstb. Production has been stable with no water or gas breakthrough at the wells. Measured pressure decline during this time has flattened. This is a positive indication of additional pressure support, that is believed to be coming from the expansion of gas in the reservoir as the pressure goes below the oil’s bubble point."

S9 failed with its main aim, spin away if it makes you feel better. Its obvious they needed it to be a success, they wanted to reinject the gas to increase production. The field is losing pressure (probably at a greater rate than they hoped for) and the ESP's don't appear to be the answer, as predicted by a few of us because they can suck up stuff they don't want.

Production has clearly fallen from five years ago which suggests wells are failing. They haven't installed ESP's (apart from one) that were in their plans from wipeout time. They were supposed to be part of the, according to an Industry expert (only in his mind) "easy, cheap and fast" and "off the shelf" but they haven't been installed.

Why would that be? Didn't want to spend on them because they were saving their dollars? Or perhaps they've realised they aren't the answer? Which of course makes the failing of S9 even more of an issue.

But spin away you clueless clown.

No takeover then Paul, how surprising.

Hey johnyboy, share price plummeting innit.

Great post Mac and absolutely spot on. Three years on and events tell their own story.

One well to reach 55k, lol. They were obviously hoping that the ESP's were going to solve the problems and up the production but as was predicted by a few of us they didn't. Production now lower than five years ago but all is just great?

As you say only one ESP installed and that isn't helping. What the delusional rampers won't accept is that ESP's can cause a whole host of problems. There's no doubt that with falling pressure across the field the company have real issues which of course is why S9 and reinjecting of the gas was so important. Now that's failed upping production to the fabled 55k becomes even more difficult.

But all is just great and its all marvellous because they're leaving it to the "experts". lol.
