06/7/2022 13:47 | There are precedents for secrecy, Arcadian. BG and Cove spring to mind. | pensioner2
06/7/2022 13:40 | Shell and BG managed it. 5 year negotiation before rns landed. The new NED appt is a great big SOLD STC sign. | giant_canine
06/7/2022 13:28 | Can`t believe that any development agreement between the various mooted parties including The City could be kept a secret unless of course the agreement is fairly recent and the new appointment carries a lot of weight in this context. | arcadian
06/7/2022 13:21 | Yes currently 19.4 p | giant_canine
06/7/2022 13:11 | Crazy return for shareholders in July, by the looks of things. Will GKP still be around come Halloween? I doubt it. | johnbuysghost
06/7/2022 13:00 | This next dividend will soon be worth 20p per share the way sterling has fallen against the $. | attyg

06/7/2022 12:41 | Lets hope all the leaders aren't shorting it instead... | goatcam
06/7/2022 12:19 | Well NOR my hope is that Korruptistan leaders one way or another will own some big slices of the company . That could be via being beneficial owners of some of the top 10 major holders, and or from the big chunk outside. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity for to profit from a huge capital gain. | giant_canine
06/7/2022 12:13 | You are probably right GC , pockets to be lined all done in a agreed sale | nestoframpers
06/7/2022 12:06 | It is an SGM. Its not a bid - its an agreed sale if its a friendly deal( most likely), via a sales implementation agreement entered into long since , the vote will be merely be a formality. | giant_canine
06/7/2022 12:01 | If there is a bid there will be a vote in a EGM ( I think ) the shares being bought now are for that vote I imagine , there is a chance then that the vote will go against the opportunity of allowing another 2nd bid ? Re JB's £150 ... in a fair world yes , but in GKP land it will be £74.50 . Workings posted about 300K posts ago. | nestoframpers
06/7/2022 11:52 | Sorry GC didn’t see your post till after posting above | beernut
06/7/2022 11:50 | Not leaving - Expanding!Today 11:38 ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) announced on Tuesday that it didn't withdraw from the Kurdistan Region and will not sell its assets in the Atrosh oil field in Duhok province. TAQA told Kurdistan 24 that it is continuing its operations in the Atrush field, which was first discovered in Dohuk province in 2011. It also said it would expand its operation in the oil and gas sector. In a strategic review of its business in the Kurdistan Region's oil and gas sector announced in September 2021, TAQA decided to maintain its projects in that sector, noting that they make a vital contribution to the company's revenues. In addition to the Kurdistan Region, TAQA, established in 2005, operates in the energy, water, and oil and gas sectors of several countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Ghana, India, Morocco, Oman, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. | beernut

06/7/2022 11:38 | Good find, GC, but you shouldn't have left the word "water" in that piece. Muttley will be on to it like a shot. :-) | pensioner2

06/7/2022 11:31 | SP bouncing back now. Someone's filled their boots. | johnbuysghost
06/7/2022 11:31 | Makes sense, G_C, but I think there is some restriction in that bond re corporate action et al which they want rid of to pursue whatever course of action they have in mind. Time will reveal. | pensioner2
06/7/2022 11:25 | P2 - normally the acquiring co would pay off the bonds as part of deal. Because GKP have so much cash , by paying it down themselves from own resources , this then means shareholders receive an extra 40p / share on sale of the company. If they were staying independant - they would not be doing this. | giant_canine
06/7/2022 10:36 | Might be already OAP, but 25/26th July was settlement and renewal of the current bonds. So perhaps then.I think paying out 75% of all your cash in 1 month rather cavalier........Unle | thebabe
06/7/2022 10:36 | No, here till the fat lady, GC, but if there's a condition in that bond preventing free action in some form or other it would all be logical to have it removed before they outline any plans. Just a case of wait and see now. | pensioner2
06/7/2022 10:27 | Don't get your hopes up P2.... | goatcam
06/7/2022 10:26 | Anybody know when that bond can be repaid without penalty? I reckon that's the day when things might start to move. The mm's and big players will know when that is imo. | pensioner2 |
