"All the focus over the next few weeks will be about the NEW gas reinjection well."

So where is there any mention of, never mind focus on, a new gas re-injection well, either in this morning's report or anywhere else.

Shafaq News / The President of Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, hoped that the Iraqi parliament will be able to pass the 2021 budget bill, pointing out that Baghdad's way of dealing with Erbil is "not so federal".

Barzani said in a press conference held in Paris, "We have a constitution that the Iraqi people voted on, and Iraq, until now, still does not deal with the region according to the federal system," adding, "we understand that this system does not exist in all countries. Iraq has its own new system of government and we understand that. "

"We in the Kurdistan Parliament must approve the budget and then send it to Baghdad also for approval, and this is not the correct way to deal with the regions in a federal system", he added.

"It was believed that the failure to pass the budget bill is the result of outstanding disputes with the region. Thankfully, the truth has emerged; there are other problems."

Barzani concluded, "the Kurdistan Region will fully comply with the agreement that was reached with Al-Kadhimi's government, and currently the problem is not on the region's budget," adding, "everyone must know that we will be happy to see reconstruction and services in all Iraqi cities."

It doesn't look as though this is an agreement but just whatever the MNR send them:

the KRG has honored its pledge to start to repay the amount outstanding for the invoices of November 2019 to February 2020

Shafaq News / Kurdistan Parliament's speaker, Riwaz Faiq, hoped that the Iraqi parliament will be able to approve the federal budget bill.
Faiq told the reporters that the talks concerning the approval of the 2021 federal budget bill "took so long".

"The regional government is waiting for the federal budget bill's approval to send its own Budget bill", adding, "We encourage all parties to approve the bill."

ERBIL - The Iraqi Council of Representatives is expected to hold a session on Wednesday to vote on the budget bill for the year of 2021, Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi has confirmed.

According to a statement by the presidency of the Iraqi parliament, Halbousi has informed the lawmakers of a session to be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 pm in the efforts to vote on the budget bill.

Names of those who will attend the session, as well as those who will be absent, will be revealed to the public, the parliament speaker vowed.

This comes while the legislature earlier on Sunday delayed the vote on the budget until further notice as disputes among the Shia factions have so far continued.

As for Erbil and Baghdad, most of the issues on the budget have been resolved and the two sides are waiting for the parliament’s approval to the deal between them.
