Yep. I think they're gong to have to let it go to get some liquidity back. Nobody wants to sell and shorting would be madness.

On top of the supply blockage from the Gulf, beernut, that northern pipeline might give the Kurds an extra bargaining point to get the oil law through the parliament.

Fears of prolonged Suez Canal blockage drive oil prices higher
Salvage firm says giant ship blocking Suez Canal, among busiest channels for oil and fuels, could take weeks to free.

Oil prices rose sharply on Friday on mounting concerns that it could take weeks to dislodge a giant container ship blocking the Suez Canal, possibly squeezing supplies of crude and refined products.

Prices, however, were still headed for a third consecutive weekly loss, with the outlook for demand dented by fresh coronavirus lockdowns in Europe.

Brent crude was higher by 54 cents, or 0.9 percent, at $62.49 a barrel by 04:32 GMT, after dropping 3.8 percent on Thursday.

FTSE 100 jumps as Suez canal traffic jam triggers oil price rally and boost for BP and Shell
Giant cargo ship remains stuck as traffic piles up on either side

T
he FTSE 100 jumped today as oil prices were expected higher due to the growing traffic jam at the Suez canal.

Attempts to refloat the giant cargo ship blocking the key trade route have failed so far, leading to growing fears that tankers bringing oil into Europe will have to divert all the way around the Cape of Good Hope.

That would create potential shortages for European customers and drive up the price of fuel, analysts said.

I heard the TO story a while back - elsewhere. Ill believe it when the money is in the bank.

I certainly think some sort of EU wealth grab is a possibility, with the total economic mess these 2nd rate numpties have got themselves into. Hope they do , then we will see a lot more exits , and bye bye EU.

Looks like shorting the Euro is a good idea.

It will be now: the opportunity is 4 days off in Europe, like when they created the Euro.
TO on April 6: it will be paid in good money, not in fiat currency.
And on April 7, the II forum disappears...

And Tony will have to wait for his options as DJT will be back.

LOL

We should have a bond issue this morning of about 200 mio $ for the development of the company.

In fact they will buy shares of GKP, a 500 mio $ cy!

DO NOT SELL SHARES BEFORE EASTER AS A NEW FINANCIAL SYSTEM WILL BE CREATED: IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 100,000 ON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, IT WILL BE TAKEN AWAY.

THAT IS WHY ALL THE DEFICIT RUNNING COUNTRIES WANT YOU LOCKED DOWN FOR EASTER.

DO NOT SELL ANY SHARE BEFORE EASTER.
