ERBIL - The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said on Monday that it has started to roll out a fully digitalized system to control the operational expenditure as part of the ongoing efforts to implement the Reform Law.

"This important modernisation step – the result of detailed collaboration between various government bodies – will increase the efficiency and reduce corruption by ensuring that all government day-to-day expenditure is completed online," reads a KRG statement said.

Minister of Finance and Economy Awat Janab Noori said in a statement that following PM Masrour Barzani's instructions, all operational expenditure, as well as the process, has now become digitalized.

"This progress is part of the government’s broader package of modernisation and reform measures, reducing bureaucracy to allow the government to better serve our citizens. Increasing transparency in government, and reducing corruption, are essential components of these reforms," the Kurdish minister said.

"The more the government can control its operational expenditure, the better positioned it is to spend on vital public services and projects that benefit all citizens. I commend staff in the Department of Information Technology and the Ministry’s Directorate General of Public Accounting for building the application."

According to the KRG's announcement, the whole of the government will be online by the end of July while all the data is said to be recorded in the government’s own data centre.

More Goatcam scaremongering fantasy from the Oilcans but they are simply making it all up – as always. There was in fact no gas cap in the Jurassic - but the only way to establish that was to drill SH-9.

On 10 September 2019 GKP announced that “The workover campaign to install electrical submersible pumps ("ESPs") in existing wells has been moved into 2020 to coincide with the availability of new permanent facilities being installed as part of the 55,000 bopd expansion programme. These facilities will allow the wells to be cleaned-up more effectively when the ESPs are installed.” So it’s clear that GKP changed the Project Planning – all quite normal.

As for SH-12 ? GKP have made it clear that they decided to production test the Butmah. That decision would have taken account of MWD logs, wireline logs and other test data. The company has not said it is “going to come up the well” into the SAM and produce from there. Nor has it said it would produce from two zones i.e. the Butmah and the SAM. ( That in reality , would probably be impossible anyway, because of pressure differential between the two zones ) .

I have warned you about the wells connected to PF2 and clean ups will not cure the problems.

I told you that MOL and the MNR would only allow one pump to be fitted (SH12) to test suitability and shock horror they are now having problems.

I think that the company to start being honest with investors big and small and stop just hoping the problems will go away because they won't.

A case of a rare brain-eating amoeba has been confirmed in Florida, according to health officials in the US state.

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) said one person in Hillsborough County had contracted Naegleria fowleri.

The microscopic, single-celled amoeba can cause an infection of the brain, and is usually fatal.

Commonly found in warm freshwater, the amoeba enters the body through the nose.

The DOH did not outline where the infection was contracted, or the patient's condition. The amoeba cannot be passed from person to person.

Infections are typically seen in southern US states. They are rare in Florida, where only 37 cases have been reported since 1962.

'Brain-eating amoeba' found in water supply near New Orleans
