16/3/2016 14:01 | Zorp, when ISIL arrrived Iraq hit problems it needed money to fund a war. The UN actually controlled part fo oil revenues from Iraq. Iraq debts is nowhere what the UK Debt Perhaps you could look at Iraq resources and see if the UK has anything like that to balance its budget. The IMF can loan money it can not control it once its in Iraq ..Maybe you could look at $Billions that the USA had control of which was Iraq's money from the UN, and it lost it in Iraq, the SA was immune from having to find first $10 billion it lost then another $ 25 billion it lost and again it was immune from having to pay it back and it left Iraq with a debt of $35 billion which Iraq cleared . Iraq is no basket case , and it would be very easy for Iraq to borrow the money from Iran, China , Russia, the IMF does not hold the powers you make it out to hold. Also Iraq is a IMF member not Kurdistan, you may wish to look at how the IMF membership works as well and what a countries commitment is. There is no point in discussing Knights with you as you are blinded by a think tank paid organisation.. | oliver666
16/3/2016 13:52 | Village idiot, you're using wrong numbers again. No onetomany I'm not and many others realise he's our best hope. You're wrong as usual. | bigdog5

16/3/2016 13:43 | If the contracts are torn up we have zero. I'm also very aware of how banks work. "GKP can progress with all monies owed rapidly paid". As I said earlier, IF that happens great but as we have no details you're making an assumption. You miss the point I'm getting at with "control". | bigdog5
16/3/2016 13:18 | Mar 16, 2016. (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Iraqi Council of Ministers announced on Wednesday, that its ministers are ready to leave their positions in order to support the reform project, while also emphasized the size challenges facing Iraq. On the other hand, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi praised the efforts that the Council of Ministers exercises amid the difficult financial, economic and security conditions. The Iraqi cabinet said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The ministers of the Iraqi cabinet are ready to leave their positions,” adding that, “Their work is to provide public services to the citizens and country.” hxxp://www.iraqinews IMFao! | zorsupas
16/3/2016 13:08 | And 12p is the direct result of the Barzanis trying to steal a country. Nothing else. They've failed miserably. Now it's time to sort the mess out. | zorsupas
16/3/2016 13:07 | If Iraq defaults on its IMF S-M Program it'll never get cheap credit again, anywhere. It'll do as it's told, or it will become the love child of Cuba and Zimbabwe. | zorsupas
16/3/2016 13:05 | No, I'm not hoping. I know how (legitimate) banks work. They don't throw money away on deadbeats. You have to prove creditworthiness BEFORE you get a loan. You'll never be in control. JF has never been in control. The KRG get paid whatever the pirates decide to give them (with Kurdish oil, it's a massive buyer's market), so they've never been in control. GKP can progress with all monies owed rapidly paid. As I've always said, GKP doesn't need a partner. | zorsupas
16/3/2016 12:56 | Zors and you are just hoping the IMF plan works. I'd sooner be in control than rely on others because as we've seen, relying and believing in others has resulted in 12p. We can't progress without a massive increase in monthly income. I thought you would have known better. | bigdog5 |
