When you see something that is cheap we call it a bargain and rush to buy it but are Elliots going for it or is it some cheap publicity which for sure is a bargain because it is free .Fake news is the outcome.

If the view is that the two parts will be worth more than the whole then it would make sense to mount an action to buy the whole and immediately sell off part in a prearranged deal. Take the profit yourself.
A real risk IMO to opening any bearish positions, plus the premiums are low.

Average FTSE100 pe ratio (out of companies that actually have a pe ratio ha ha) is about 25.
It appears Glaxo have a pe of 15.

Clearly glaxo is miles too cheap.

AstraZenica have pe of 38.

I mean GLAXO really should DOUBLE

Dividend down 30% from 80p to 55p in 2022, then 45p in 2023. All on a gamble on new drugs.GSK to me not very attractive at current shareprice.

The key for GSK is to show improving numbers between now and the split, and not mess up with the Sanofi vaccine ... that might change sentiment. Was thinking about why they held on to 20% of the Consumer division, and am speculating that they know it will be an M&A target shortly after launch. I wouldn't be surprised if Elliot are shopping around for potential buyers. Pure speculation on my part of course. If anyone has a different hypothesis I'd like to hear it.

You're posting tripe that you don't even believe yourself. I can't see the point in that but bulletin boards are full of people who do that. If they were not anonymous, and everyone had to be verified and public we'd have better debates and discussions.

I'm no expert.

I'm hoping for 1800 eventually. Is that too high an expectation?

So dividend cut to 55p from 80p for 2022, then to 45p for 2023 is that right.Dividend what's left will it be paid quarterly, or half yearly.
