I just took a small bit of profits 2000 shares at 133p. A healthy 149% gain. My best in a couple of years :)

Still got a fair few so roll on £2

Anyone got any mining shares they like other than these at the moment?

Stocks of zinc also very low, could be a major squeeze ahead. If they could get the zone 2 licence we could easily see £5.

Zinc almost at 3,400 per tonne! That's about a 10 year high!

Mariopeter, I had actually thought that the past history had been erased and none of the past indiscretions had happened! I still have a sceptical outlook of what may happen in the near future including prospective purchases. I await the end of year results with cautious optomism.

The intra-day share price and zinc price charts are almost identical albeit a few adjustments. This stock is now completely in tune with the price of Zinc

Up just ... some of us have been here forever and you know this management more than many of the newbies here. See you were shot down recently for voicing concern about returns for investors from the pie.

There will be more board avarice ..... you and I both know that ... but luckily the price of zinc will dilute that for now. A significant change in management opinion would be to pay dividends as historically they have had copious sums in credit at the bank and still would not pay dividends ...from memory they needed it for "acquisitions outside of China".

Much to look forward to here as zinc just keeps going up $1.55 per lb now) and LME stocks down but shareholders may again be forced to fund new projects ie forced into the wrong part of the mining cycle....maybe not.

There's always the danger that the market will be capped by producer selling and that hidden inventories will seep out, that's a perennial problem

Article with forecasts for zinc in 2018. At least one analyst anticipating that it will reach $2 per lb this year.

And if Zinc continues it's uptrend at the same rate since the recent low on the 11th December, it will be at $1.7/lb by the end of January.

Stick that in yer calculations for 2018 eps

Resistance was weak at 130p, as each phycological 10p level is breached, the move to the next will be swift imo
