29/12/2017 17:30 | Iweb are great for an ISA. Dealing charge is £5, normally not to far of the spread and no other fees. But they don't cover ASX or TSX. Which is where I would like to be buying. So if anyone knows a platform with no annual charges that would be great and even better if it can be in an ISA. Sorry for off topic. Roll on £2 in the New Year and a decent dividend oh and the new license!!! Not too much to ask for!! | ukgeorge
29/12/2017 17:00 | Possibly not. I have sought some clarification. Annoying when the terms change twenty minutes after I sign up. | rose_by_another_name

29/12/2017 15:13 | Just got this notice from IG: From spring 2018, we’re replacing our share dealing inactivity fee with a £24 custody fee, payable at the end of each quarter, which you could be subject to depending on your trading activity during that quarter. Any commission you pay on your share dealing account during the quarter will be deducted from the fee. You will also be exempt from the fee if you do one of the following: 1. Deal three or more times across any of your IG accounts during the quarter 2. Hold assets worth £15,000 or more across your IG Smart Portfolio accounts at the end of the quarter Only share dealing and ISA accounts holding non-cash assets will be subject to the custody fee. The fee will be applied per client rather than per account. Accounts with assets will be allowed to go into deficit as a result of the fee. Final terms of the start date and application of the fee will be announced shortly. | rose_by_another_name
29/12/2017 11:51 | No they are sells as I was curious this morning and I was offered 116.20p or thereabouts on a couple of dummy trades. | gary1966
29/12/2017 11:47 | Unless there is a large buy order being filled | up just a little bit
29/12/2017 10:47 | they have to be imo. if they were sells the price would be down | dgellissnr
29/12/2017 10:43 | Judging by the price I paid this morning, 116.2p, most of the "sells" that are showing are actually Buys. | gbh2

28/12/2017 15:32 | I've been with them since November and executed around 20 trades at prices that were within the spread on IG, which I've found to be in line with the market spread that I monitor on Mon ey am. | gbh2
28/12/2017 15:19 | Thanks for the response Jon. | rhcm
28/12/2017 14:27 | rhcm I Left IG for that reason. Illiquid stocks on IG both buy and sell came up with some prices outside the spread when I could get inside or on the spread with iWeb. | slopsjon2
28/12/2017 13:46 | O/T Hi, i noticed some remarks about IG index as share brokers a few posts earlier. I am looking for a new broker mainly because the price i am offered when buying or selling with ii is often outside of the spread even when trading within the market size Are you offered a good price within the spread when dealing with IGindex for share dealing? Apologize for o/t but i think this would be of interest to everyone. | rhcm
28/12/2017 13:16 | What's with the spread today, MM's not happy for this to find its own level? | up just a little bit
28/12/2017 12:30 | I'm not a believer in charts when applied to low volume trading! I think they tend to offer "some" indication of share price direction only when they're generated by large volume buying and selling. | gbh2
28/12/2017 10:20 | Uses of Zinc Today Zinc is currently the fourth most widely consumed metal in the world after iron, aluminum, and copper. It has strong anticorrosive properties and bonds well with other metals. Consequently, about one-half of the zinc that is produced is used in zinc galvanizing, which is the process of adding thin layers of zinc to iron or steel to prevent rusting. The next leading use of zinc is as an alloy; the zinc is combined with copper (to form brass) and with other metals to form materials that are used in automobiles, electrical components, and household fixtures. A third significant use of zinc is in the production of zinc oxide (the most important zinc chemical by production volume), which is used in rubber manufacturing and as a protective skin ointment. Zinc is also important for health. It is a necessary element for the proper growth and development of humans, animals, and plants. The adult human body contains between 2 and 3 grams of zinc, which is the amount needed for the body's enzymes and immune system to function properly. It is also important for taste, smell, and to heal wounds. Trace amounts of zinc occur in many foods, such as oysters, beef, and peanuts. | malcolmmm

28/12/2017 08:26 | Thanks, but IG isn't as bad as I was first led to believe and with my trading pattern I'll be able to work within their ISA without paying anything other than the £8 trade fee. | gbh2 |
