Doesn't matter. Griffin is a Bermudan
company. It mostly owns the Chinese company
that owns the mine (Hebei Hua) and has
controlling or 100% interests in other
Chinese companies. China would have no say
in who bought Griffin. Griffin shares aren't
even listed in China.

I have heard Glencore are looking to bring another couple of mines online this year. But GFM are in China, producing and debt free. I think they must be a takeover target. Hard to see share price not increasing sharply in short order.

Just read another article that describes Glencore as being in "a hiring frenzy" to get their Australian mine ready to start production later in the year.

Zinc sharply up, over 2%. Dog also awake, so foetus awake at ungodly hour. Suspect when GFM moves again it will move quickly.

Usual old thing the share is in fairly new territory and people just a tad afraid of the punch jug leaving the party but cant see that happening for now.

I don't doubt the Zinc figures but it's whether the answer is with GFM or elsewhere, given the lack of investment interest.
