Gary, you haven't missed anything - there has been very little in the way of options exploitation - its all there in the Annual Reports........

Having looked back over a number of years RNS’s I can only see that they have spent a small amount of money taking a stake in an oil explorer. Other than that all cash seems to have been spent on share buybacks, licences and upgrading equipment. I can’t even see that they have issued themselves with options like confetti over the years. Taking this into account, other than their track record of paying dividends being almost non existent, why all the angst with the directors? Genuine question as I feel as though I have missed something.

TIA

Hector, No I don't want it lower down I am still in after 10 very long years of the BOD sticking their hands in my pockets if it's all the same to you.

Not withstanding the likelihood that the BOD will spend millions and millions of OUR money on a business that will firstly not return any money for many many years and on their past record probably not return 1 cent.

Makinbuks, If the BOD think that to aquire another business and have the share holders who have waited 10 bleeding years for a dividend wait again then I will personally travel to Bermuda and shoot them.

Suggest everyone emails the BOD and indicates a strong preference for distribution
They have failed to identify anything of any substance over the years
I recall a potential Canadian purchase where they were frightened off
Dividends please

Imo majors don't tend to buy mines in China. Also most ate still wary after all the over spends in the previous cycle. I would like some big dividends. :)

I think a takeover bid from some major, paid
in shares, might suit my personal situation
better. Selling for cash all at once would hit
me hard in the CGT, and spreading it over a
few years would be a hostage to fortune.

Although GFM paid minor dividends in the past I really don't think the directors will see that as an effective (for them) means of distributing the loot. We're much more likely to see the return of the hunt for acquisitions and opportunities

Gary, This year will be stunning as long as they don't spend OUR money on another duff company.

Phyllis, re 27029. Thanks for that! I have been in since 2010 but lack your ability to recall such treasures. I still suspect the Chinese authorities prefer to import refined product than process in country. There will be a 5 year target not to exceed

Normally I would have sold some but have gone back to basics when making that decision. Zinc hitting all time highs, smelting charges declining, zinc stocks declining, debt free, outlook for zinc price very bullish, possibility of approval on zone II, this still very cheap on any metric. All these reasons is why I haven’t sold and have in fact added all the way up from 63p to 120p. The value will come out but I think it will take the results to do this. CAML took a while to get going but it is finally getting there and I see a lot of similarities. I am expecting generous dividends to start being paid here to give even greater support from a yield perspective. If this doesn’t happen and cash is just accumulated then at that point I will reevaluate. At the moment though, despite having doubled in a short time, they are still very cheap.

Given the ever decreasing zinc stocks and the growing cash pile Griffin are now making I'm staying put with this share. End of year should see stunning figures and the reinstatement of a dividend that will attract a whole new class of investors.

I've sold over half of mine including 5k today. This rally has been great, but a retrace is always possible.

Happy to hold the rest for £2 some time this year :)

This one has legs imo so I am holding from 63p . I was tempted to take profits along the way but I think commodities especially Zinc will do well this year.My target is 200p, you never know though.

callmebwana,

Agreed. ---I have been in GFM for a long time , and still retain some.

Age has a bearing on my investment decisions , having no desire to be the richest man in the grave yard.

License news could propel this much higher.
