"....What stood out for me the most was the way he would defend against a hostile takeover. You can tell he is very aware of the risk but seem to be backed by Wyloo to defend against it. If NCM make a move, sounds he would release a revised MRE immediately?..."

Wyloo then, is the goalkeeper, it seems.

Good to see 8p again. Should put the squeeze on those shorts; they've had a good run, called it well and profited accordingly. But if they don't close quickly those profits could soon be erased.

I think Shaun saying yet again that the company was still vulnerable to takeover offers and the new appointments joining early has prompted the discussion elsewhere. It's also a good buying opportunity for those that have been keeping their tinder dry. The new directors do give the company a lot more gravitas when working with third parties. Every company on every stock exchange is open for offers, unless it's Switzerland, and at times they're more vulnerable to just that however I personally can't see that happening here just now. NCM are already very financially stretched.

WTF they are shorting at these levels ?
Doesn`t make sense unless THEY are deliberately suppressing the share price

Newcrest Cap about 19B AUD and Fortescue 65B AUD and with Greatland's new additions to the board very close to Fortescue it wouldn't surprise me Z. Newcrest's performance hasn't impressed shareholders so much so they've been given their 1st Aussie public warning. A "second strike" and there toast.

Greatland Gold plc (AIM:GGP), a mining development and exploration company with a focus on precious and base metals, advises that Australian corporate and mining leaders Mark Barnaba and Elizabeth Gaines have joined the Company's Board as Non-Executive Directors.

Further to the announcement on 12 September 2022 titled "Transformational appointments to the Board of Directors", Mr Barnaba, an eminent natural resources investment banker and Deputy Chair of A$60 billion ASX-listed Fortescue Metals Group Ltd ("Fortescue"), has been appointed to the role of Non-Executive Chair. Ms Gaines, former Fortescue CEO and Managing Director, joins the Board as Deputy Chair.

Alex Borrelli has transitioned from Non-Executive Chair to the senior Non-Executive Director role as Lead UK Director.

Tel, it's always the same story, gold etc is found the share price fly's then comes the engineering side of things, i.e prepping to get it out of the ground plus JV's etc the share price wallows. Then things start coming to fruition and that's where we're now heading not long to go..GLA our time is coming again. :-).Zoo
