29/9/2022 16:34 | Many thanks for the post uknighted and here it is... Greatland Gold's Shaun Day takes questions from the London South East September Town Hall Meeting Greatland Gold Managing Director Shaun Day is in London on business and we had an opportunity to put all your Town Hall questions to him. Shaun was as ever very happy to oblige, and here are the results. In order, Shaun talks about: The Paterson region: beautiful but unrelentingly hot Telfer: the fly-in fly-out mining town GM Resolutions, how to vote, why 3-5? The share price - why is it so low, timeframe for derisking The new board - why warrants, can they boost the share price? Production - due to start in 18 months or so Pre-production ore, probably won't be be processed just yet Another MRE before the DFS? Any gaps in the team? Back-up plan: could someone else process our ore? Ernest Giles: local infrastructure/logis Drill results from Scallywag Buy Telfer from Newcrest? Have all the deals you mentioned been announced? 3D animations - link at the page bottom Aggressive inorganic growth strategy Consolidation of shares Why is the gold price not outperforming? (SD thinks it is ...) Will you come to Ireland? (Yes) Would you take a 40 pence per share offer Why invest in Greatland Gold shares today, not after DFS or decision to mine | timberwolf

27/9/2022 16:11 | Here is the above mentioned article in full. BROWN BOTTOM : | pr0t0n
27/9/2022 16:03 | No investor seeking an unbiased opinion on a share should support LSE. Just look at the way it 'hosts' SD. They'd miss his fee if they 'allowed' anyone to caution against his spin. Seen it with many other shares. Anyone posting a well researched cautionary piece is labelled "Disruptive" or "negative". Its disgusting manipulation which the press has commented on now and again (last some time ago) but the FCA ignores. | lurker5
27/9/2022 15:00 | It very easy to make cheap comments. Personally I agree with what the Bank of England said at the time not to sell. However at the time The price of gold in the late 1990s was roughly between $254 and $312 per ounce. A 20-year bear market - since the abandonment of the Gold Standard by President Nixon - had been pushing global prices down. Brown was worried that the price would continue to drop even further, so he sought to sell as soon as possible. At the same time, nearing the Millennium, the US Dollar was getting stronger under President Clinton's administration, and stock markets were making steady gains as interest in tech stocks grew (into what would become the Dot Com Bubble of 2000/01).Large quantities were already being sold from countries including the Netherlands, Australia, and Argentina..Previous Governments have made the similar mistakes for instance their inability to make the UK self sustainable with energy etc. It's called politics and it doesn't matter what party's in power they 're all the same. | zooman
27/9/2022 12:17 | The McBroon of McBroon is still rattling around in the back of the skeleton cupboard popping out now and again - muttering the odd 'whoo whoo' to frighten us all. | lurker5
27/9/2022 11:57 | Gordon Brown claimed he had put paid to the Stock Market boom-and-bust cycle. Socialists always try to "fix" the market. Do you remember them claiming that Thatcher had "sold off the family silver" by privatising Labour's nationalised industries? Then they sold the gold. | rose_by_another_name

27/9/2022 09:36 | GOLD @ £1,515 an Ounce ! Great for peeps holding gold. ==================== "One of the HM Treasury’s worst financial mistakes ever made, and perhaps one of the least well-timed investment decisions in the history of mankind (we would say that the worst). Brown Bottom. If you did not hear about it, it was a period between 1999 and 2002 when Her Majesty’s Treasury sold approximately half of the UK’s gold reserves in a series of auctions. The name comes from Gordon Brown, who was then the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer." | pr0t0n
