http://www.investorsintelligence.com/x/marketdataindex.html?op=art&aid=49907 ..........Great Portland Estates is much more positive than Liberty, as prices are already near the top of the range. The chances of a break out of the 280p resistance are high. Shorts are best reduced................

WNER anr AGR is now on ride - very high potential ASHTENNE INDUSTRIAL FUND ANNOUNCES GBP364 MILLION REFINANCING AND RAISES GBP45 MILLION OF NEW EQUITY Aviva Investors and Warner Estate, on behalf of the Ashtenne Industrial Fund ("AIF"), have successfully raised GBP45 million of new equity in order to reduce its senior debt, and refinance its existing facility for a further four years with Royal Bank of Scotland and the Lloyds Banking Group. The new equity, issued in the form of convertible loan stock which will convert to units in the Fund in September 2012 (or earlier at the option of the note holder), was raised entirely from within the Fund's existing investor base and was significantly oversubscribed, demonstrating investor confidence in the future performance of the Fund.

I'm amazed at the rights issue and the level of discount. How can this be in shareholers' best interests when they are not in distress?

Market report: Tuesday latest Rosamund Urwin, Evening Standard 8 July 2008, 12:04pm Morgan Stanley began coverage of Great Portland Estates with a miserable assessment of future trading. Giving the central London property developer an underweight rating and a target price of 230p, the broker said it expects Great Portland to suffer more than rivals because of the group's greater exposure to the capital's office market. It predicts central London office rents will fall significantly further than other sectors such as shopping centres. Its shares shed 11½p to 312p.

bloomberg Great Portland Estates Plc may fall after Morgan Stanley rated the company, which develops shops and offices in London's West End, ``underweight'' in new coverage on the possibility that rents in the U.K. capital's center will fall. The brokerage set a share price estimate of 230 pence, 29 percent below yesterday's closing price. Sales of services and manufactured in the U.K. fell in the second quarter, posing ``serious risks'' that the economy will tumble into a recession, the British Chambers of Commerce said.
