08/7/2008 11:29 | Market report: Tuesday latest Rosamund Urwin, Evening Standard 8 July 2008, 12:04pm Morgan Stanley began coverage of Great Portland Estates with a miserable assessment of future trading. Giving the central London property developer an underweight rating and a target price of 230p, the broker said it expects Great Portland to suffer more than rivals because of the group's greater exposure to the capital's office market. It predicts central London office rents will fall significantly further than other sectors such as shopping centres. Its shares shed 11½p to 312p. | ![]() zimzoot
08/7/2008 08:35 | bloomberg Great Portland Estates Plc may fall after Morgan Stanley rated the company, which develops shops and offices in London's West End, ``underweight'' in new coverage on the possibility that rents in the U.K. capital's center will fall. The brokerage set a share price estimate of 230 pence, 29 percent below yesterday's closing price. Sales of services and manufactured in the U.K. fell in the second quarter, posing ``serious risks'' that the economy will tumble into a recession, the British Chambers of Commerce said. | ![]() zimzoot
