No one loves you hotstuff. No posts from the 28th Nov 05.
This is just a smashing company whose shares have shown very solid performance. I have often found that the bulletin boards tend to neglect these bankers. Why I know not.

donny gordon, boss of liberty ,who own 25%+ of gpe, reported as stepping down at liberty next year. will he make extra effort to take over gpe as swan song or will their stake be sold?

Look at Liberty increasing their stake-up by 5% in December and 3% in January.
To me, once they get to 29.9% a bid is just a matter of time. I sure hope so but the ease with which they are buying suggests a premium of only 50p to the current price rather than the 90p premium to NAV.

Question from an interested potential investor :
What are the chances for a bid for this stock in the near future and any thoughts on the price ?

There seems to be a wave of consolidation about to go on in the sector (Allders ,House of Fraser etc) so it would seem to make sense that someone might make a play for GPOR given the recent share performance.
Any input appreciated.
Tuco.

nAV over three pounds, directors buying, selling non core props.. good.
poss takeover at higher price than 227... good...
Exposure to South East and London, bad , especially shorter term leases and possible / likely fallback in rental next year due to weak business conditions... hm
- at the CURRENT price under 230, the stock could be a good 'buy' but equally might be worth seeing the results before further committment. All my own opine, of course.
