GTE signs multi-year agreement with Siemens Industrial Turbines AB
11 May 2006

Gas Turbine Efficiency plc ("GTE" or "the Company"), a leading supplier of advanced high pressure gas turbine cleaning systems, announces that it has signed a multi-year agreement with Siemens Industrial Turbines AB (SIT), part of Siemens AG, to supply its cleaning systems as a standard feature of SIT's complete range of turbines.

The agreement covers an initial term effective until 31 December 2009 with an automatic option to extend it by a further one year unless terminated by either party.

The deal strengthens an existing partnership under which GTE's cleaning systems have been incorporated as a standard product in SIT's turbines since 1995. GTE will manufacture and supply gas turbine cleaning systems to SIT in Sweden for inclusion in its entire range of industrial turbines, as well as other future models, for shipments worldwide. Sweden is SIT's manufacturing base for its industrial turbines designed to deliver an output of between 17 megawatts and 43 megawatts. These turbines are aimed primarily at the mid-range power generation and the oil & gas industries.

An overview of the "exclusive aviation Contract" executed between GTE and Pratt & Whitney is provided in the Press Release dated 03 Jan 2006.

"The Agreement was extended to 2014, with options for additional extensions through 2019."

"Terms of the extended agreement include an increase in, and the extension of, guaranteed minimum royalties in favour of GTE through the life of the agreement."

Noting the success of the gas turbine cleaning system, it's a pity that "exclusivity" was agreed in the Contract - however it appears that this could be addressed / re-negotiated in 2014.

The Contract appears to provide a solid core to the Aviation Component of the GTE business - I suspect others may be able to use the data above and information in recent Report and Accounts to guesstimate a value?

GTE extends exclusive agreement with Pratt & Whitney to 2014
03 Jan 2006

Gas Turbine Efficiency plc ("GTE" or "the Company"), a leading supplier of advanced high pressure gas turbine cleaning systems that was admitted to AIM on 21 December 2005, announces that it has signed an agreement with the Pratt & Whitney division of United Technologies Corporation (P&W) extending their exclusive aviation contract until 2014, with options for additional extensions through 2019.

The agreement relates to the provision of GTE systems to P&W for exclusive use in aviation/aero engine washing services under P&W's EcoPower(TM) brand name. Terms of the extended agreement include an increase in, and the extension of, guaranteed minimum royalties in favour of GTE through the life of the agreement. The original agreement, which was described in the Company's admission document, covered a five-year period ending 31 December 2009.

Steven Zwolinski, chief executive of GTE, commented, "Our relationship with P&W for aviation applications has delivered positive results over the past year and we are delighted to strengthen this core business segment with a 10-year cornerstone contract. The agreement provides a longer term business framework and is a strong validation of GTE's technology, P&W's EcoPower(TM) business model and the excellent working partnership between the two companies

The Article below is dated Feb 20, 2006.

It refers to the sale of two complete gas turbine cleaning systems by GTE to P & W under a ten year Agreement dated 3rd January, 2006.

I'll try and find the Agreement or RNS from that date.

Article: GTE Awarded Two New Orders by Pratt & Whitney for Gas Turbine Cleaning Systems; New Orders Take GTE into Asia and European Commercial Aviation Hubs.
Article from:Business Wire Article date:February 20, 2006

LONDON -- Gas Turbine Efficiency plc ("GTE" or "the Company"), a leading supplier of advanced high pressure gas turbine cleaning systems, announces that it has been awarded orders for two complete gas turbine cleaning systems from Pratt & Whitney's EcoPowerSM on-wing engine wash service (EcoPower). These new orders were awarded under the 10-year contract extension announced on 3 January 2006. This takes the total of new orders, worth over $1.3 million, placed by Pratt & Whitney up to four.

Pratt &Whitney plans to deploy EcoPower which utilizes GTE's cleaning systems, in commercial aviation hubs based in Asia and Europe. Through 2005, the majority of GTE and EcoPower activity was in the United States.

Steven Zwolinski, CEO of GTE, said: "We are pleased with the recent contract extension and subsequent orders from Pratt & Whitney's EcoPower business. The expanding global footprint of the EcoPower infrastructure is a positive reflection on the end customer value associated with GTE's technology."

It appears that we have a problem if three significant contracts are signed last week for GTE technology and we, as GTE shareholders, receive no information.

I recognise that the contracts were won by Pratt and Whitney.

However ther must be some impact on GTE revenues, (and the value of the Aviation Service), if one of their IP licenced partners wins more work.

Is anyone aware of the impact of P & W work on the Aviation component of GTE's revenue and value?

AIM listings are often just a cash cow for senior employees, if GTE was a private company, heads would have rolled months ago....

let's hope they find a buyer for the aviation bit otherwise it might get nastier here share price wise.

Not even the mention of them being in talks with a potential buyer which is worrying or have I missed something?

smells a lot like Jarvis...the core bits were sold off by the administrator ini the end!

Still watching from the sidelines. Going slightly off topic, just watching the news about Indonesian volcano. Wonder if the engine blow up on the Quantas A380 was anything to do with ash clogging the turbine cooling. A broken turbine blade is like a piece of shrapnel flying through a fuel tank or cabin wall. Worrying that the engine outer casing didn't contain the damage.

ALBERTEDWIN, I agree with you. With the ISO standard on energy efficiency due for release early next year, one would expect more and more companies uptaking technologies such as GTE's to manage their energy performance. So in the short to medium term the propspects look good for this type of company and I find it hard to understand why they strguggle (somebody on this forum tried to make some sense of it to me previously!)

6Kenny - yes I know, and I have long been only too mindful of Jessops' sad demise which also cost me dear and haunts me still. Perhaps there is no longer any point in hanging on like Mr.Micawber for ever waiting and hoping for something to turn up. My difficulty is however that I still have a nagging feeling that some positive news will at last soon emerge. Moreover I have always found it difficult to envisage how GTE's long term business strategy could possibly fail in the current climate of the "green environment"; that is why I think the institutional backers will continue their support, despite the short term difficulties, pending the arrival of improved general economic conditions.

But, 6Kenny, would the Directors want to shoulder all the debts even if they got the business for virtually nothing ? In any event I just feel that the Company's institutional supporters will somehow continue to ensure that it remains afloat whatever further lowly figure the share price may descend to. My general impression is that there seems much more to this situation than is readily apparent to outsiders, and all that ordinary PIs can now sensibly do is to continue to give the new Chairman and his revamped Board more time to turn the Company's fortunes around and hope for the best. In any case the share price is now so low that there does not seem much more to lose having regard to the horrendous losses already incurred to date.
