22/5/2023 10:45 | I can't understand why people aren't all over this. You can buy a huge growth business for the free cash and restricted deposit value lolCrazy | smackeraim
19/5/2023 16:00 | Cash and cash equivalents at the end of Dec 2022 were GBP24.5m, with a further GBP8.4m in restricted deposit accounts. Within restricted deposits, GBP4.5m relates to Government support scheme monies received in late December for application to business and domestic customer accounts in January. The compo was already there, put aside. 32m market cap for a 200m plus revenue profitable company, with cash near two thirds of its cap, growing, no true debt, pays a divi .. jeez. | smackeraim
19/5/2023 12:23 | This is getting into silly valuation territory considering it's cash pile and growth potential. Just saying | smackeraim

05/12/2022 12:17 | Continued to fall ever since the family silver sold. Now (imo) likely to take a massive hit from increase interest rates - unless massive subsidies pumped into the marked by UK Gov. If so will also attract a load me too operators with crook after crook being revealed. | pugugly

25/11/2021 11:46 | The disposal of its generation assets removes that attractive feature of Good Energy but presumably resolves its financial crisis caused by the spike in gas / wholesale energy prices? The alternative was special administration? Its mature assets include two onshore windfarms in Cornwall and Yorkshire, seven (?) solar farms, and something to do with biogas? A total peak capacity of 47.5MW valued in June at £58M but probably risen since, against borrowings then of about £40M. Who might be a buyer, proposing a quick sale. | marktime1231
28/10/2021 11:11 | Price is all over the shop again. Back to where it should be. | paulisi
18/10/2021 19:23 | Dale Vince has just posted an open letter to Goodenergy saying that he will offer support for their problems relating to their gas hedge. Dale suggests that their supplier has problems meaning Goodenergy is in the poo re pricing. I think the share price us goo I get South tomorrow. | farmerwheeler
18/10/2021 15:27 | They have had two goes at a takeover and failed. Maybe they are giving up and looking to reduce their holding. | paulisi
11/10/2021 08:15 | I reckon Ecotricity will finally try and bow out by placing their holding in GOOD. The GOOD management have done a good job and seem as well positioned as they can be. There should be takers of the Ecotricity stake around the £3 level. | kinwah
29/9/2021 09:36 | The decision comes on the day Nigel Pocklington, chief executive renewable energy supplier Good Energy, said his company would not take on new customers from collapsed firms because they were a "loss-making proposition". Mr Pocklington told the BBC's Today programme that while Good Energy was "sympathetic" to customers feeling uncertainty, larger companies may be better placed to take them on. dated yesterday.. | sea7
27/9/2021 11:15 | Not accepting any new business from consumers looking to switch according to an article. What is the link to Octopus energy? | paulisi
24/9/2021 14:54 | Interesting price action here recently. Current negative sentiment in utilities will have played its part.GOOD's exposure to the rising cost of gas is not as great as its rivals - energy is sourced exclusively from renewables. And while there has been a fair bit said about lack of wind in these past weeks impacting wind farm energy, not enough is said about the impact of clear sunny skies on solar energy. For context, GOOD owns 2 wind farms and 6 solar farms so the company is well hedged whether it's windy or sunny. My main attraction to GOOD though is the company's growth into the EV infrastructure market. This market is going to see exponential growth. As for the Ecotricity offer, I expect the Board headed by an experienced CEO to fight off this derogatory bid. Perhaps there might not even be a fight as Ecotricity may run into its own financial problems caused by surging energy costs. This would no doubt lead to a fall in share price fair value here a £50m M/Cap IMO. So about 295p per share which is where share price is now.I topped up on the dip yesterday and found that all my buys were reported as sells on ADVFN. | megasonic

24/9/2021 08:05 | I guess that the offer has failed as the share price is significantly below the initial offer now.I'm surprised that the share price has dropped that much and it still undervalues the company. | paulisi

16/9/2021 15:15 | I have promptly sold at 390. Expect to buy back in at 300 or so when Ecotricity gives up. Then keep the shares for a lovely long time as this share is more than just a utility play. The CEO’s back ground show the direction. Only wish I could get shares in Octopus! | farmerwheeler
