I am surprised there is not more interest in Good Energy. Their share price seems to be in a long term uptrend at the moment?

Any plenty of news on the company website:

Good Energy is struggling to progress but there is plenty to like about this green energy pioneer and a more focused strategy would go down well.

The Investor's Champion's updated research note assesses its prospects.

Still no accounts filed at Companies House by Ecotricity Group Ltd. The auditors are Grant Thornton who may be refusing to sign the accounts off based on the current GOOD share price and other concerns. Interesting that the GOOD price fell today. I am sure the Ecotricity stake is being touted around as being available to buy. Maybe GOOD should buy back the stake themselves. Meanwhile I'm waiting eagerly for the Ecotricity accounts to reach Companies House. They are always a interesting read for accounting geeks like me.

"Energy-as-a-service will transform the sector

Providers, under pressure from new industry entrants, could look to move into the as-a-service market to diversify their offering

BY HEIDA VELLA - FEBRUARY 14, 2019

As the utility industry continues to undergo major transformation driven by decarbonisation, decentralisation and digitisation, an emerging business model, known as ‘energy-as-a-service’, is set to disrupt it further.

This broad umbrella term describes the growing sub-market of selling not only energy, but also technology, analytics, personalised services and even access to the grid.

“We are seeing more effort now to develop a new retail model than at any time over the last 100 years,” says James Sprinz, head of decentralised energy at Bloomberg NEF.

The trend is driven, in part, by advances in technology, and the desire of residential and business consumers to reduce costs and/or their carbon emissions. But also, says Mr Sprintz, by major European energy suppliers trying to claw back market share lost to renewables and new markets entrants, such as smaller players including Good Energy and Ovo Energy.

“Energy providers are looking at other things they can sell besides electricity, which has seen a large increase in capital in the market, as well as more mergers and acquisitions,” he adds. ...

Big Six moving into energy-as-a-service by acquiring new companies ...

Though still relatively nascent, this market is poised to grow and diversify, especially with the continued emergence of electric vehicles and smart cities. According to Navigant Research, the energy-as-a-service annual market for commercial and industrial customers is expected to reach $221 billion by 2026. ..."

The accounts for GOOD's major shareholder the formerly minibond financed Ecotricity Group Ltd are due to be filed at Companies House next week. The Ecotricity GOOD stake is now worth £10m which the Ecotricity balance sheet may find very helpful. After all there is that new football stadium to build for Forest Green Rovers which is also owned by Ecotricity.

The key metric that encourages me to buy more is the high level of turnover per share.
If they can improve financial management and stay on the right side of the regulator then the upside is immense.
Not happy about Market Size of only 300 shares...this is not the Plus market any more!

Fresh price breakout 3 hours ago.
Aside from the recent gain momentum I am in this because if they ever sort out the profit level and their returns to shareholders the imbalance between turnover per share and price per share is in for significant re_rating.
