17/11/2022 10:27 | DRD has a market cap of c£500 mill so Goldplat would be easily digestible for sure - as discussed before maybe Martin Ooi is holding out for a higher price, without him nothing happens of course. | shill10
17/11/2022 10:17 | Another interview with our leader; Doesn't say much other than that he seems to see the partnership with DRD as the main takeaway from the results. Deepening the agreements with DRD has to be a good move for GDP. Perhaps stuff will start coming up the pipe as well as down it. While I am surprised that DRD hasn't bid for GDP it wouldn't surprise me if individuals from DRD were buying in. Perhaps we may get a NED from them at some stage. | kimboy2
16/11/2022 15:52 | Hopefully this is the PoG kicking in. | arlington chetwynd talbott
16/11/2022 14:57 | 12.7p trades, nothing for sale | shill10
11/11/2022 08:27 | Switched to MCL (LSE) , looks attractive | blackhorse23
11/11/2022 08:16 | They are doing better than most and presumably we will soon see a PoG effect. | arlington chetwynd talbott
10/11/2022 17:08 | About time GDP actually delivered on their promises. | russman
10/11/2022 16:30 | They are always a bit slow to respond being the more illiquid and niche end of the market, but they get there in the end. | dangersimpson2
10/11/2022 16:25 | GDP must be the only precious metal share not benefitting from the price increase. | lowtrawler
10/11/2022 14:17 | PoG taking care of business. | arlington chetwynd talbott
10/11/2022 09:15 | Interview Doesn't say anything. | kimboy2
09/11/2022 16:01 | Plus none of the presentation PDF's, or links to interviews, even get put on the Website. Last corporate presentation was December 2021 and last video was January 2021. The Website was revamped in the summer as well. It's one of the first places I go to when doing research, so they're missing a trick imo. | itsyou
09/11/2022 11:20 | Even with our newly improved SP, we are sitting at less than £21m market cap. Deduct the £3m cash, only £18m. We appear to have sustainable profitability of around £4m and so are sitting on a PER of only 4.5. Our back of the envelope calculations for the TSF suggest a value of at least £12m and quite possibly more than £20m or even £30m. We also appear to have opportunities for growth where our £4m sustainable profitability could easily increase to £5m or £6m. I reckon GDP can easily afford a 1p dividend with prospects to reach 1.5p. The TSF should allow a special dividend of at least 7p, although probably spread over a 2 or 3 year period from 2024. The special dividend may reach 12p or more. IMV, once they publish detailed plans for the TSF and if they introduce a 1p dividend, we will trade over 16p. | lowtrawler
09/11/2022 10:17 | DS I'm of the same view re prefer gold-plat shares over cash- a huge amount of things would have to go wrong before I would even get worried given the buffer that TSF and p/e below 5 gives us - plus £3 mill cash. | shill10
09/11/2022 09:18 | A few things strike me. 1. I don't really think that these sorts of presentations do much. They are unlikely to bring in new punters and won't provide any information that existing shareholders don't know. DS nobly batted for this board with some questions. IMV the shareholder Q&A format is better. 2. The 20% recovery from the TSF is clearly absurd (I hope). DRD will obviously know the recovery rate better than anyone, so it is hardly keeping info back from them. IMV it is about managing shareholder expectations and thinking everything is in the bag before contracts are signed. 3. I like this movement from a gold recovery company to a mining services company. This needs to be the direction of travel. Hopefully there is more to it than just a re-branding. 4. I would like to know more about inventory levels as they are the key to sustained profitability. 5. Werner was a bit wobbly on the question about buybacks and dividends and went on about capex. They are producing £1m a quarter so that should throw a hat on any capex. It may be however that they need extra cash for inventories. I know that in the past they have lost out for larger deals from suppliers because they got outbid by people able to put the cash on the table. Anyway I still believe that the TSF will float all boats when it gets here. | kimboy2
09/11/2022 08:44 | Don't think this presentation will bring in many more new investors but the long term holders are sitting on a pile of Gold. Seeing the crypto marking collapsing, gold will be seen as the safe haven again so hope for a rise here. I wound rather have my money in GDP ( which is gold) than cash and if you don't need the money this a great place to be for the next few years Good to see the relationship DRD going well and could be our end game, shame we can't get a better relationship with Rand as well So plodding alone is just fine especially compared to other shares | shareholder7
09/11/2022 08:21 | no trades so far....we were the only people watching it appears. Werner downplays everything, he is an anti-marketing guy, modest, reserved, honest, hard-working. More patience required re TSF but we now have a name and a strategy, we all know that recovery is going to be way higher than 20%, we will find out the numbers soon enough.... | shill10
09/11/2022 00:02 | Werner really isn't a natural speaker. As far as I could see, no new information and downplaying prospects for the TSF. Still talking about a 20% recovery rate, large capital cost to exploit, terms yet to be agreed etc. What did come across is the advantages of our new relationship with DRD. | lowtrawler
08/11/2022 21:17 | Any new information? | kimboy2
08/11/2022 20:11 | I think after watching this I would expect the share to fall back but I will be a buyer as I know the company and the potential. | shareholder7
08/11/2022 19:55 | So far this is not a sales pitch. Need a marketing person to put a better pitch together. Don't think this will do too much to the share price tomorrow unless this pitch improves soon. | shareholder7
08/11/2022 19:51 | Did anyone listen to the webinar? One thing I particularly liked in today's announcement was the deal with DRD. They have secured 5 years supply for 20-30% of the SA operation. This is in effect a year's inventory. It sounds as though they will be able to get it, and pay for it, when they want to go and get it. If that is the case then it has saved them £1m in inventory costs. The important thing though is they have the inventory. | kimboy2
08/11/2022 17:14 | As for communication, don't forget the Investors presentation this evening as per RNS last week. | baht |
