09/11/2013 07:42 | Ok thanks Wooster4. They had opportunity to buy before the closed period too though and didn't. Will be worth watching to see if they buy any shares when the closed period ends. I like the story but am really left wondering that if the upside is as good as they make out, then why didn't they all buy a load of shares this year. | protean
08/11/2013 15:29 | protean - They're in a closed period that's why. | wooster4
07/11/2013 18:06 | If there is indeed significant value and the directors fully believe that this can be realised in the near term, then you would think they would be filling their boots at the current level and time. There have only been a couple of smallish director purchases this year which isn't exactly confidence inspiring. The strong upside talked about might be a little more credible if directors started putting their money on the line and buying a load more shares. Until they do I'm left wondering why they're not buying here with the price as low as it is. | protean
05/11/2013 08:36 | Yet another Coverage Note on GED website this morning. 84 pages compiled by Phillips Energy Consultants Interesting and may prove significant given pending farm out or whatever else GED management have in mind. | hyperboreus
03/11/2013 20:58 | We would like to hope so. | philo124
03/11/2013 20:08 | This will skyrocket very soon.....tic toc......... | squintyflinty
22/10/2013 11:29 | Yes, up to 3 months would be near term in my book. Anything longer and it's not really near term. But I guess there's no precise definition in terms of timescale to the phrase. | protean
22/10/2013 10:59 | Who knows what "the near term" means! I would suggest somewhere in the 0-3 month timeframe so any time up until the end of the year. I just hope they have employed a decent independent consultant to ensure they get the best deal possible. | salpara111
18/10/2013 12:11 | It's a funny old game. | philo124
18/10/2013 08:16 | You'd think that farm-out news can't be too far away when they said this in the half year report on 19th September: "the Company remains optimistic of the successful conclusion of strategic partnering efforts in the near-term future" A month has passed since then and near-term suggests weeks rather than months. | protean
18/10/2013 08:12 | Nice start to the day. Definitely news to break in the next week or so I reckon IMHO, DYOR, Wale. | waleoilbeefhooked
17/10/2013 18:20 | Makes you wonder if this is the start of things. Volume this large would seem to indicate more than just a tip. Good too that price still rallied despite the seller. | protean
17/10/2013 18:10 | Biggest volume day since Oct 2011. | lowflow
17/10/2013 13:30 | Big volume today. | protean
17/10/2013 12:49 | The seller is using the demand from the IC tip by the looks of things to get rid of his supply. He can only have a finite supply so will run out at some point. And then there should be a decent sustained rise for a change. | protean
17/10/2013 12:22 | whilst I share your optimism, 186 is very precise!! | wooster4
17/10/2013 12:13 | Rolo, no, it's something more substantial, IMHO. SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS BREWING HERE, I agree with Wooster, farmout news will break in near future. The directors have been working on something which I believe will be transformational for GED. My guess is at worst £1.86 this side of XMAS Wale | waleoilbeefhooked
17/10/2013 12:09 | rise due to ic tip i guess | rolo7
17/10/2013 12:06 | 120/130p coming- I hope! | philo124
17/10/2013 12:05 | farmout news??? | wooster4
17/10/2013 11:52 | looking promising ...... | waleoilbeefhooked
17/10/2013 11:49 | Some buying interest coming in now. | protean
16/10/2013 16:49 | Seller still dripping supply into the market 10k or 15k at a time. You think they'd just try to approach another of the larger holders and see if they wanted to buy it all in one go. The price did rise today though so maybe they're nearly clear. Can live in hope anyway. | protean
16/10/2013 13:30 | Ok thanks mdara. The rules are probably in here somewhere but I don't have time at the moment to trawl through the 387 pages. | protean
16/10/2013 13:18 | @Protean I think residence is determined by where control is situate not incorporation. Although GED is incorporated in UK, control or residence may be deemed to be elsewhere. Again I think that up until September 2013 residence determined takeover rules for AIM companies. I am currently out So am talking off the top of my head. I could be completely wrong. Probably best you check up for yourself or perhaps some far wiser poster will let you know :) | mdara |
