24/7/2013 11:25 | gt - I am long here too and there does not seem to be any other data available that contradicts your view. | rcturner2
24/7/2013 10:51 | Anyone any thoughts here? Share price is weak but the company must be doing well at the moment? WTI has crept up so in the recent weeks they are now getting a $10 additional benefit per barrel sold (production is c1,300 bopd). When they report interims in September they should also have a full 6 month benefit of cost savings (water disposal well). Against poor comparatives H1 13 ought to be very positive. In addition, talks continue with potential partners for their block in Middle Magdalena which could bring a decent sized cash injection. Oh and directors buying at much higher prices 6 months ago. Yes I am long, but does anyone else have any views? | geraldton1
19/7/2013 12:35 | Cormark Securities has a 25 page report on the La Luna shale and the stocks exposed to the shale. There are a number of comments regarding Global Energy Development (and their subsidiary Harken). If you want the report email me on lowflow2013@yahoo.co | lowflow

02/7/2013 12:11 | There's only one Simon Thompson! Yet another reiteration of his previous articles albeit with a more positive slant on current years production and profitability. He is sticking with his 140p target as being easily achievable however unlikely it may appear at the moment. I agree entirely with lowflow in that the statement issued yesterday is ridiculously short of meat on the bones and appears to have been chucked out in a hurry for whatever reason. | hyperboreus
01/7/2013 15:33 | Hi low flow. Yes, good update I feel, but like you said it was short and sweet. Still, very happy with my holding and today's news. | morph7
01/7/2013 12:09 | Today's update seems rather positive in comparison to where the stock is trading. First, production in the Llanos basin is doing better and cost is decreasing. The second CHOPS test result is much better than the first test. In the first test they only managed to produce sand and now they at least managed to produce 75 bopd to begin with. It's bit surprising that they are keeping the RNS so short. In the past they have been writing several pages about the CHOPS test on the Torcaz field and now when they finally manage to get some production they are only writing two full sentence about it. Over the past two years the company has been more promotional in their communication with investor around the CHOPS test and the Bolivar field. Now when they finally achieve something they are not promotional at all. A bit surprising that they announce the first half of the year's production result only one day after the period ended, it almost feels like they was in a rush to get the production result out but they did want to push the positive development. I would think that the company is no longer is in a closed period after today RNS (for a while) so if the management and board want to buy more shares they should be able to do so. GLOBAL ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PLC (the "Company") OPERATIONS UPDATE Global Energy Development PLC ("Global"), the Latin America focused petroleum exploitation, development and production company (AIM: GED) with operations in Colombia is providing an update on its ongoing operations in Colombia, South America. LLANOS BASIN OIL PRODUCTION The Company's gross oil production during the first half of 2013 has outperformed production from the prior year period. The worldwide drop in benchmark crude oil pricing during the period is expected to offset a large portion of the Company's production increase for the first half of 2013. As previously announced, the Company's operating expenses during the first half of 2013 (both on a cumulative and per unit basis) have decreased as compared to the prior year period due to lower water disposal costs and the elimination of rental generators and other rental equipment. MIDDLE MAGDALENA VALLEY BOLIVAR Contract Area Global, together with its financial advisor, Jefferies International Limited ("Jefferies") are continuing with partnering efforts and discussions. TORCAZ Contract Area The Company performed a successful intervention of its existing well, Torcaz #2, during the first half of 2013 by making surface improvements to the pumping unit and changing the down-hole pump. Gross oil production from this well has been sustained at approximately 75 bopd | lowflow

03/6/2013 11:48 | ConocoPhillips and Canacol Energy operating the Santa Isabel block located west of GED Bolivar block is spudding the Oso Pardo-1 well this week. The well is located 8 km from the Bolivar block. The well will be drilled to the target depth of 8400 ft of which 1300 ft is the La Luna section. The drilling time is expected to be 65 days including testing. If this well is successful it would de-risk the Bolivar block significantly. | lowflow
