04/12/2012 12:16 | GED CEO S. Voss has acquired another 12500 shares at 108p, reported today at 10.12. I would think that Jefferies has a reasonable view about the interest from all potential buyers of the Bolivar field by now. GED CFO/IR Anna Williams said that Jefferies is estimating that the disposal or farm-out of the Bolivar field will be finalized in early Q1. I think a disposal of the block is the more likely option. The block has 37m barrel of 2P reserves, so GED only need to get $1,76/barrel for the 2P reserve to recover the whole market cap by divesting the Bolivar block. And in this scenario the buyer wouldn't pay anything for the unconventional potential. When Exxon farmed in to the block to the south of the Bolivar block they valued that block to app. $100m (based on the farm-in terms). Exxon did own the Bolivar block back in the 1980 so they know the geology. Steve Voss, GED CEO seems to be betting the farm, but he also knows what Exxon and Shell was offering GED in the past 12 month to farm-in or acquire the Bolivar block. We should also remember that GED has been one of the most disciplined AIM listed E&P companies when it comes to spending cash, they have never raised equity since the stock was listed in 2002. Steven Voss has been the reason for the spending discipline and I would think that he wouldn't buy as many shares as he has done the last 2 weeks with his own money unless he knew that this would work out well. | lowflow
04/12/2012 07:42 | Showed my 10 year old son the 1 year chart & asked him where he thought the price was going to, then showed him the 3 year chart; he was pretty pleased with himself as he had said 130p. | philo124
03/12/2012 12:59 | its just the 130p barrier. break that and we're flying | foreverhoping
03/12/2012 12:42 | GED was over 300p in 2005 (when it was less interesting) but now that Steve Voss has finally bought a decent amount of stock (and nobody knows this company better than he) I think you can safely assume he thinks its worth a lot more! | geraldton1
