07/11/2011 12:08 | For info. PCP Presentation states 5 bbl water for 1 bbl oil produced at Tilodiran (T2, T3) Production oil was approx 1800 bbl/day in June from this field. Water to be disposed is approx 9000 bbl/day at $5/bbl??? (incredible annualised cost if I have understood the information correctly). The workover of T2 should reduce water cut. Notwithstanding, reducing water disposal costs from $5 to $1 /bbl should generate significant cash savings. No wonder they shut T2 in and kept the oil in the ground. | ![]() hashertu

03/11/2011 11:18 | Nils. Abstracted from the interims. In August 2011, the ANH formally approved the suspension of the drilling of the Tilodiran 4 and Tilodiran 5 wells based on the Company completing the third party reservoir study and report and providing the results of such report to the ANH. The Company anticipates having the third party study completed within the next four to five months and presented to the ANH in the first quarter of 2012. | ![]() hashertu
03/11/2011 10:57 | there is a broker note from Religare on the GED website. They also have a much more extensive one which while a little out of date is worth reading. I would also suggest to read the Stockeye note as it mentions the big increase in production and anticipated further increase to 3000bopd in Dec 2012, which will give a huge boost to eoy results and forecast for 2012. Also for anybody wondering about T4 and T5, the Religare note shows these being drilled in 2012, (which will delay capex for 2011 into 2012 and hence improve 2011 figures imho) very quiet here recently, I guess people are more concerned with their other stocks being trashed by the Greeks! | ![]() nils214

18/10/2011 11:58 | It is the director's second buy. I agree that it is not large but I suspect there is not much stock around. Look at the volumes recently and the effect on the share price | ![]() hashertu

12/10/2011 11:32 | Posted in full today on iii, from Oil Barrel: October 12, 2011 Global Energy Makes Good Progress At Last In Converting Its Substantial Reserves Into Production Global Energy Development is an AIM listed junior focused on South America, The company has had a tough time in recent years. Stephen Voss, the group's Managing Director and Anna Williams, the company's Director of Business Development, are currently in London, doing the rounds of brokers, managers and investors to raise the company's profile. They took time to have a long talk with Oilbarrel.com. We go back along way with GED so were interested in hearing the message which is: yes, life has been difficult, but the good times, if not exactly with us at the moment, are about to arrive. The company they say is very, very undervalued........ | ![]() don carter

10/10/2011 15:06 | PHIL, it wasn't a 'failed bid' they had to make the offer for the entire company as their total 'concert party' holdings triggered the offer, but they made it clear they would not increase the offer and it was the final one. Actually if they had offered maybe 120p they might have got themselves the bargain of the century! Interesting volume today and the spread has narrowed considerably. | ![]() nils214
10/10/2011 10:10 | Going in the right direction this am. Some volume, maybe related to the obligatory offer. | ![]() philo124

07/10/2011 14:30 | Nice bit of strength fair enough, and very pleased to see it, but according to Digital Look we've had 2 buys today, 3000 @ 0.91 and 10,000 @ 0.98, leading to an apparent 12% rise. When I propose a sell ( without the slightest intention of executing, let me add) I get 0.935 offered. Smoke and mirrors? | fuiseog
07/10/2011 14:17 | Good article below. Explains a bit more about what the company is up to. | trackerjack |
