23/8/2010 12:12 | Interesting news from Noventa : they have actually shipped some product ! Their latest presentation makes no mention at all of poor old Abu Dabbab but I suppose that they could hardly be expected to draw attention to a possible rival. I am sticking doggedly with my shares in GIP but having a flutter on NVTA too. Time for a little homework on comparing GIP's and NVTA'a grades. Abu Dabbab does have the great advantage over NVTA's mine (Maratoula or some name like that) of not being 500km from the nearest port._ | varies

23/8/2010 10:21 | GIP- So this is what all the fuss has been about ! 1/Jacks's arranged a refit of the tired old shop window from which to peddle his wares . 2/ Issued a request for partners in more rock-kicking ventures in N.Africa! When the question, as ever, is ... ...Where's the bloody finance to start the ABU project ? [Cash call/placing ,imminent IMO.] AAAAAhhhh.... -SC | shadowchaser
23/8/2010 10:11 | i noticed this in the careers section of the new website. i guess it relates to egypt as it mentions arabic and has nothing to do with exploration. "During the latter half of 2010, Gippsland will be seeking to employ highly qualified Arabic speaking engineers who have a demonstrated expertise in the development, construction and operation of world scale mining and ore processing facilities." | hiijinx
23/8/2010 08:51 | Fast new website, promising indeed | vanbrussel
22/8/2010 22:44 | I'm sitting on the fence, best place to be with GIP :-) There was a significant move in GIP share price last week, but the question is does somebody know something we don't ... lets hope so! | marksnsparkle
22/8/2010 17:59 | Well, I'll take a flyer and say that by no later than Tuesday we will have notifcation of a new take-off agreement. | joan of arc
22/8/2010 13:26 | GIP --Exciting times ? It will be interesting to see what happens to the share price overnight on the Aussie market .... -SC | shadowchaser
20/8/2010 19:47 | Yes ,Joan ,as I've already said ,to me, this is ''put up or shut up'' for Jack this time . Your scenario has credibility and I certainly wish it to be fact . In any event,IMO ,we shall all see VERY soon now . The games' afoot . Let loose the dogs of war! SC | shadowchaser
20/8/2010 17:11 | SC, my point is that I can't believe this is being chased by ignorant PIs like ourselves nor is it being manipulated by anyone with some ulterior motive. I suspect, given Jack's propensity for not being able to keep quiet, that there is something important afoot that a small inner circle has got wind of. | joan of arc
20/8/2010 15:08 | GIP- on the German exchange ,GIP's at 4c ask ,now! -SC | shadowchaser
20/8/2010 14:30 | Precisely ! Odd, isn't it ..................?? -SC | shadowchaser
20/8/2010 10:18 | GIP was up 13% today in AUS ... that makes GIP up 51% this week ... | marksnsparkle
20/8/2010 10:02 | Yes, Joan , that as maybe ,but how do your comments alter the fix GIP is in ? --or change my outlined scenario? Are we not just seeing ,yet again,Oliver 'Jack' Twist toddling up to the cooking pot with his begging bowl ''Please sir,I want some more?'' Lol! -SC | shadowchaser
19/8/2010 14:03 | Shadowchaser, we all share your frustration. But if your presumed motivation were true then surely since any funding would have to come from a placing (PIs excluded) the source of such funds would know this was the case and not buy into it. Likewise GIP will probably not get any further funding in this climate unless they can really convince such an investor(s)that a longer term financing deal is in sight. | joan of arc
19/8/2010 12:27 | GIP -NB-Viz my 2724 above --Beware false bolstering of share price prior to YET ANOTHER imminent fund-raising exercise ,dilution ,screwing of long suffering stock holders ...whatever you wish to term it - Because, make no mistake ... IMO with Jack's global rock-kicking trips ,the cash raised in the last squeezing /dilution is fast running out and therefore the co, is very nearly BUST!!!! SC | shadowchaser
18/8/2010 10:17 | GIPs share price has moved up 25% in the last couple of days ... | marksnsparkle
18/8/2010 00:58 | Note: The Outlook for the Mega-Projects: 2010-2015 The two mega-projects for converting known resources to operating mines include the Abu Dabbab project in Egypt and the Saudi Arabian project, whose combined input could put more than 1 million pounds of tantalum on the market per annum once they get up and running. What is certain however, is that the economic downturn has extended the time frame by which these mega-projects can actually begin mining. It is expected that the Egyptian mine will be operational by 2013 and producing 600,000 pounds soon after. | chipperfrd
17/8/2010 10:19 | Cheers mns. I can't believe how little GIP progresses each year. If indeed, it has ever progressed at all. | luckyjonah
17/8/2010 09:49 | luckyjonah ... | marksnsparkle
17/8/2010 09:46 | Lordy is that it in the header? 3.7c = 2.1p? I think if I can find a used envelope I might send of this dusty old share certificate... | luckyjonah
17/8/2010 09:44 | Anybody have the AUS price please? | luckyjonah
14/8/2010 16:08 | Could not be bothered to post it earlier in the week ... but just for completeness here is the latest propaganda to be emailed out by JT ... having said that the tantalum price is continuing to rise "Supply of Tantalum Stretched Thin, Prices May Boom" | marksnsparkle
02/8/2010 17:42 | GIP- The further delay is MOST disappointing ,in my view ,I'm sorry but The BIG GAME is really up for Jack Telford right now . IMO -It really is 'put up or shut up' for GIP this time . Looking back over the years from when I first invested in this firm, how disappointing the endless surveys, due diligence exercises, false empty 'deals' not done---it's been a painfull journey and now yet ANOTHER delay and potentially another cash call may be rquired from us long suffering stock holders . Jack -Get your finger out and seal the deal ! -SC | shadowchaser
30/7/2010 11:20 | GIP-As you were ,just seen the cash flow report Just over A$1mn left ,which at a strrrrreeetttch will see them through to Dec. when negotiations with Stark should be done if NOT ... ---after that -- THEY'LL BE SKINT! -sc | shadowchaser |
